Yeah, I guess the thread could be intimidating. I suspect it depends on the day you come in here too. The best thing to do is to jump in and start posting though. We're usually a pretty friendly bunch and when we do get our britches out of stitches, well, we *usually* can get back to normal after a little mutual

To keep the thread on track... my toddler's poo was runny and red today. I can't recall her eating anything red, but I couldn't tell if it was bloody or just reddish. She flushed it before I could inspect it good enough. (Who would've ever thought I'd be a bit perturbed that I didn't get a chance to inspect someone's poo??)
It'll get easier the more you do.
Also, if you master the single crochet stitch, you could work a pretty simple hat from that in a decent time.

Thismom - what kind of cake are you making for her birthday? I have never really made anything other than your basic round cake.. I *may* just do some cute cupcakes for my DD birthday next week. I haven't decided yet.. She is all about wanting to go to CHuck E Cheese.. Everytime we see the commercial she tells me she wants to go to that place for her birthday!
Been getting some things done around here with the weather.. I cleaned out my dresser drawers and the top of my dresser off night before last.. and yesterday I cleaned up the closet.. I have so much food store in the back of it. I pulled out some things that the kids need to go ahead and eat.. All of the quaker granola and nature valley granola stuff I got when school first started. I must have stocked up on 50 boxes of granola bars.. There were still about 20 boxes or so in there. PLus I still have 2 of those massive fruit snack boxes from target that we got during that b2g1 deal.. plus there are about 20 boxes of cereal.. Seems like I buy things they like, and then they get tired of them after awhile and stop eating them. Hopefully, now that I pulled them out and put them in a bowl on the counter, they will start eating again
For the last month, I really haven't bought groceries, other than some meat here and there, plus the regular weekly things like bread, etc.. we have lived off the stockpile and the food I get from my food co op I am in.. What a blessing it has been. I told DH even with us being stuck in the house the last few days with the ice storm, I don't worry about not having food.. I have 6 cartons of smart balance milk in the freezer, and we have tons of cereal, peanut butter, ritz crackers, and I can even make it more healthy because I still have tons of fruit cups and applesauce cups from the great TQ a few months ago.. WHen I see things like that.. It reminds me of just how good target and publix have been to me!
Anyway, while cleaning the closet, I found so many little things that I have picked up and put in the closet for my DD.. Last night, I got tired of trying to find a place to store things, so I just tossed alot of the little things into a basket. When she got up this morning, she was so excited to dig in the basket.. There were tons of books, coloring books, and stickers for the 75% dollar spot clearance, plus some of the 90% Christmas stuff like the little parents phone and stuff.. My DH asked what was the occasion that she got Christmas morning again today.. I told him cause I was tired of cleaning the stuff and trying to store that same bag
So, apparently she didn't stop completely in the turn lane and then turned in front of a car when the light turned green (no arrow). Ugh...two weeks until she takes it again, guess I'll be going to the big city a lot between now and then! Good news is there's a T there.
Took vacation time and have been spending time with my family.

I found one at BBB with a 10% off coupon for signing up for something with them.
This is the one I broke and replaced with the same model. I like it a lot. Cooking some round steak in it today!

By the way : mine is not that nice.. But, I do want one like that. My friend from church has that same one and I like the temp settings on it.. And the oval shape is better to me too!
Just popping in to say hi. Hope you all are doing well...staying warm & healthy.
Just wanted to post that my siblings gave me a Keurig for Christmas. It is so pretty but I haven't even used it...it's still in the box. Waiting until I have a kitchen to put it in again.
We are all in Florida now, which is nice. We still dont have any tenants in our Michigan house yet...hopefully by February b/c our property manager was confident that it would be rented by then. Hopefully then, we can start house shopping here.
So DH drove a 24' Budget truck down here, pulling a trailer that was transporting my car. On the back of my car was a platform attached to the trailer hitch. The platform was carrying our lawn mower, a ride-on toy and my desk chair. Well, the platform snapped off somewhere between Southern Ohio and Tennessee
Think I am going to make some soup too...that chicken pot pie soup sounds yummy
To all those mourning and remembering the loss of your family members...P&PT and hugs from me!
I am taking the Bar exam February 22, so a lot of my free time is being used to study. I am still shopping just not posting as much. I hope to get back in here regularly after the exam.
