close though.

put tea in infuser. put infuser in pot of water. steep for a few minutes or more depending on how strong you like your tea. or use the disposable tea sacks. i prefer those.

for good teas, like good jasmine tea, or high quality green tea etc, in fact for most teas, you don't want to make the tea water hyper hot. overheated water breaks down some of the natural chemicals in the leaves that give the tea its flavors and fragrances. use water that is just a tad warmer than drinkably hot. that way you account for water cooling while the tea is steeping.

if you don't have an infuser ball, don't worry. you can do without. you can just put the loose leaf tea in a deep stainless pot of hot water. once steeped, just strain with a mesh strainer. the infuser is the modern version of a strainer, to prevent messes and save time. and it sure does. Big Grin

if you have a whole foods store near you, keep your eyes out: they have some great tea sales. you just have to peruse the aisles cos not all sales are advertised.

also be on the watch out on amazon. some great teas go on sale there. a company called rishi markets some fabulous teas from around the world. their tea is of very high quality including some astounding varieties of green tea. they come in teas. normally rather pricey. but amazon frequently has great deals.

enjoy!

Thanks so much for all the good info!! bounce

My toddler yells down the steps today: "Mommy, you gotta come see this!"

So I start up the steps and I'm holler back "What is it??"

"I woke up Mavis and I'm poking her and she's smiling at me!"

Dazzled - that is an awesome idea on the k-cup train!!! They may even end up being light enough to go first class and in that case I doubt it would cost much??

I have boxes and a ton of different k-cups right now.....and a postal scale to see what the weight would be......if anyone is seriously interested I would be willing to start it up or at least look into what the shipping cost would be!!

Thank you for all the recommendations for new baby in my family. I appreciate your wisdom!

Yawn morning. Looks like I'll be shopping after the ballgame today, as I haven't gotten by butt in gear this morning.

My goal was to get up this morning and run some errands (Michaels, gas station, etc) before my son's bball game, then major shopping this afternoon. Still in bed though, so I have really messed up my plans for the day! Ugh! Its so nice to be lazy though.

Me too, me too!! I am feeling super duper lazy today... but just making some food for the kiddos... and then trying to head out in a few.

So with all of yesterdays credit talk I went to free credit report dot com and got mine. I am only at a 600 which is considered 'poor' I thought I would at least be 'fair'. It states that I have 49% of my credit card debt free, if I pay off the other 49% will that give me a big BOOST in #? Also I have 2 collections, #1) Potentially Negative Closed acct date opened 04/10 for $90 - I have NO! idea what this is, and another is a dental bill for the kids that was missed, but it is not listed as Medical - should it be? and what can I do? All my other bad stuff is F.I.N.A.L.L.Y gone, I would hate to have 2 little bills keep me from my dreams.

Teehee Me too. I have a very low BS tolerance. I can spot it easily....that and lying. I can always tell when someone is lying to me. It is almost eerily weird, I dunno. Completely understand.....and I'm 26 so if it gets worse with age I'm doomed!
Speaking of BS, Did anyone watch Oprah yesterday with Octomom on? I don't have a problem with the fact that that Bitch is Crazy, or that she did in vitro as a single mom, maybe not even at the 15 pregnancies or wanting one more after the first 6 but I CAN'T stand that women. She is such a liar, an excuse maker, a fraud, sooooo in-genuine that it hurts to listen to her, she may not be fame seeking but she sure is attention seeking and I DISPISE that kind of behavior in grown people! Ugh! I feel so sorry for those kids. She doesn't want to subject them to reality TV but she is all to willing to make a spectacle of herself and parade down the road with a Quad stroller and a wagon full of kids and not expect people to gawk? come really?

I would jump on, or we could just do a swap if nothing else happens.
