Should women stay in the kitchen where they belong?

24,836 1,948 May 31, 2006 at 12:24 PM in Question
Women - do you cook as well as your mother/mother-in-law ... did they cook as well as their mothers? ...or course not...

Don't take this the wrong way, but I think once women were allowed this whole 'equal rights thing' it signaled the downfall of our civilization. Higher divorce rates, higher teenage pregancies, obesity (since we have to eat out more), the ozone layer (that may be a stretch), etc. Let's get America back on track and the women back into the kitchen where they belong!
Should women stay in the kitchen where they belong?

So he sent her to Antartica...

So do you believe it's your job to keep the house clean, have dinner waiting for your husband when he comes home from work, and take care of the children?
... what about :ahem: serve your man? You do want him to remain faithful and appreciative of you, right? Men have needs! (We'll provide for the needs of the women, we already know what they are. If you think of something else, you probably don't need it - no need to thank us for saving you from it)

Yeah, and global warming, terrorism, and the high prices of gasoline are all their fault too. Please. Give it up already. This "equal rights thing" happened because WE ARE ALL CREATED EQUAL. Just because you feel threatened by women doesn't mean that they should "go back to the kitchen".

Im old fashioned too. I think MOMS should stay home if at all possible. Of course, thats if its what is best for the family.... My DD is going to start kindergarten in the fall and I think I might work for awhile, even though DS is only 2 1/2. Im starting to go crazy at home... and am becoming addicted to the internet again!!!!

If mom wants to work, and dad is ok with it, and the kids aren't suffering, then why shouldn't mom work???

BUT, all that said, Im a big believer in the wife submitting to her husband as said in the Bible, so..... if he wants her home and she wants to follow the submissive beliefs, then she should stay home. I stay home and cook, clean, keep the kids, shop for deals, laundry, etc. He works a LOT and takes care of everything on the outside of the home... Unless he is out of town on Trashday Eve, then I have to take the trash out too... Hmmm, hes been out of town a lot Thurs nights.... HMMMMM, never paid attention and noticed that!!!! I think he's trying to get out of taking the trash out!!! LOL JK

I don't see a lot of "NO" answers up there. They know their place.

Actually my wife would just sadly shake her head and laugh it off as typical (before retreating back to the kitchen of course).
