Should women stay in the kitchen where they belong?

24,836 1,948 May 31, 2006 at 12:24 PM in Question
Women - do you cook as well as your mother/mother-in-law ... did they cook as well as their mothers? ...or course not...

Don't take this the wrong way, but I think once women were allowed this whole 'equal rights thing' it signaled the downfall of our civilization. Higher divorce rates, higher teenage pregancies, obesity (since we have to eat out more), the ozone layer (that may be a stretch), etc. Let's get America back on track and the women back into the kitchen where they belong!

Decent rules to live by can be found here: https://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?sduid=14128&t=801311 Just subsitute "woman" for "server" and you've got the start of a good list.

See, the thing is, I am pretty sure you're being facetious here, but unfortunately, many really believe this.

I do 2 or 3 recipes x3 in a morning and have enough to eat for 2 weeks. If I do this once every week or so, I have a pretty good rotation going. I freeze some in smaller portions for my FIL, as he lives alone and doesn't cook for himself. This way I can pretend he's eating something other than Hooters Wings all the time. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
My wife (who works full-time) makes most of our meals in the mornings - what's typical prep time for these? We have ton of quick cook books, but sometimes quality is more important than quantity - it can be a bit overwhelming.

How do you know that? Which way do women think?
I'm assuming that's a rhetorical question? If I, or ANY guy for that matter, had the answer to that question, i'd be living large...probably end up owning the internet with all the money I'd make.

It's not, actually. You said you don't think like a woman. How can you say that with any truth if you don't know how women think? Perhaps it's the same way you do, but you just don't know it.

I see where this is going, and I just don't have the energy to banter back and forth. I guess I was lying, i'm sorry. You're right, i'm wrong.

Sorry... need for beer overwhelmed the need for societal. OH MY GOD. I think I'm onto something. The downfall of our society may have started when one man, probably bone-tired from busting his tail in the fields/cave all day, sent his woman to go get some refreshing beverages at the local market. That woman was ground zero! EEK!
