Hi all,
I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.
Everyone is welcome!
I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.
This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.
So, I hope it catches on !

I follow the thread because there are some good posts, probably the same reason you do. I just try to ignore the self-entitled twits (and I promise I'll work harder on that).
BTW, I almost NEVER went OT in that thread. The one you called me on, which was semi-OT, was actually also semi-ON-topic - we were discussing the Scoville scale at the time. The ones that killed it did so by literally going OT for PAGES at a time, even after the mods had closed it several times, noting it was closed for OT posts.
Doesn't sound like much of a challenge to me!

As I have noted before, I mod alerted once, and only once, and it was the first time the thread was closed. The thread was closed several times afterwards, none from my urging. Even others within this thread have noted others alerted the thread.
The thread was not closed from my actions. It was closed by OT posters. Can't handle the truth? Tough, there it is. People trying to change it by blaming me isn't going to change the fact that repeated OT postings closed it.
And until you get that straight, and learn from it, get used to most of your threads outside The Lounge being shut down by the mods for OT posting (not that I know of, or care, if you have started any other threads outside of The Lounge).
