Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

Check your local CVS/Walgreens/grocery store. DrP is an independent, but is disributed by Pepsi in some stores, Coke in others (unless you are in most of TX, where DrP stocks it themselves). So sometimes it counts as those for sales. I have picked up DrP as part of Coke sales in my local CVSes.

Oh, and don't carry too much heavy stuff in the bag. While the straps are reinforced with the webbing around the top, they don't go all the way to the bottom (got mine in the mail today), so heavy stuff can tear out the sides easier. Or just so some reinforcement straps down the sides and around the bottom (I've done that before on these larger bags) so it can handle heavy stuff.
Dr pepper is coke here. Congradulations on your Hardies win. Too bad it wasnt the car but a trip is nice. Didnt it come with cash too?? Maybe you can sell parts of it. From someone whos been at this for a while is there any secret to winning or is it enter often and good luck??

Enter often ;-) I have over 100 that I'm entering right now, I think (too lazy to count them, but the bookmark list is looooong - luckily, most could be iMacro-ed to speed up entry).

Most trips I'd turn down, but this one I think I might take, have to run it by the wife. It's a trip for 2 wherever SouthWest flies, hotel 3days/2 nights, and a rental car for 3 days, up to $1500 total. So it's pretty wide open, and usable through Nov 30. No cash from it, though.

Maybe we'll use it to hit Napa, haven't been back since leaving CA years ago. Or hit CA Adventures.

Your prize should you be verified as the Sweepstakes First Prize Winner, is one trip for two (2) people to a Southwest Airlines Vacations U.S. destination city of First Prize Winner's choice that is published and service is scheduled by Southwest Airlines. Trip includes roundtrip coach air transportation for 2 on Southwest Airlines from the Southwest Airlines-servicing airport nearest First Prize Winner's residence to the Southwest Airlines-servicing airport of the U.S. destination city. Trip also includes 3 days/2 nights hotel accommodations (one standard room, double occupancy; room and room tax only) at a hotel designated by Southwest Airlines Vacations, car rental which includes a compact vehicle (for 2 people) for three 24-hour increments, does not include upgrades, refueling service charges, optional Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Personal Accident Insurance (PAI), Personal Effect Protection (PEP), Additional Liability Insurance (ALI), state and local taxes, surcharges for drivers under 25, and hotel parking. Qualified drivers must be at least 25 years of age, have a valid driver's license and a major credit card in his/her name. Car rental is not provided in Las Vegas, NV, New York/LGA or New Orleans, LA travel packages. Except as specifically set forth above, First Prize Winner is responsible for all other costs and expenses associated with the First Prize and the travel required. For example, First Prize Winner is responsible for his/her own transportation and the transportation of any companion to and from the airport nearest his/her residence serviced by Southwest Airlines.

I hate the glue. Super glue works better but Im not sure its better for you. My son used to build sunrooms. He came home from work one night with duct tape wrapped around his finger and said he split it straight down the bone to the knuckle. The jokester that he is I didnt believe him until he took off the tape. He deffinitely hit an artery. I tried to make him go to the hospital but he just wrapped it up with fresh duct tape. Thing is it didnt even scar. Hope it heals soon
lol ouch. mines prolly gonna scar. cool thing is if it scars...itll be in the shape of a "J" and my name is josh. cool lol

Wound glue is super glue, just a special kind. Super glue is cyano-acrylates, and there are dozens, if not hundreds of kinds.

You can use "plain" superglue topically, just don't get it into the wound (that's the trick, holding the wound closed well enough that the superglue doesn't ooze down into it). I've used it in the past with good results.

When I was young, I cut my thumb to the bone on the knuckle. The doctor used the "new" plastic thread, as he didn't like how hard some of the threads were to remove later. The "new and improved" thread came undone within a couple days, and the cut hadn't sealed. Was a bit weird flexing my thumb and seeing all the muscles/nerves/etc. Rather than go back to the doc, I just used an Ace bandage to pull my thumb straight out until the wound closed, and didn't use that hand for about a week. Healed fine, the scar is actually smaller than many others on my hands. If superglue had been easily available at the time, I would have just glued it shut.

When I was a kid I was poking holes in a mason jar with a screwdriver ( I found a baby copperhead!) my hand slipped and I stabbed my thumb where the joint is on my hand. I didnt want to get in trouble for trying to tame another wild critter so I taped it back together and tried to hide it. It scared but I had pulled the tape too tight and its shaped like a perfect heart. I was washing dishes a few years later and broke a glass and ended up with a heart shaped scar on the other thumb in the same spot

All my scars are boring straight lines. Though 3 of them on my right thumb over the last 30 years or so have created a T.
