I bought an authentic Favre jersey for 10 bucks after he got released. I just took the nameplate off and wear it as a blank jersey. At some point another Jet will get issued #4 and i'll get a custom shop to slap their name on it.

I have a few jerseys, you just have to be careful when you buy it. Don't buy it a player's first year. Let him leave his mark with a team. I have a Revis jersey for instance, and while he could leave, that Jets Revis jersey will always mean something. It's not like a Favre packers jersey is meaningless since he left. I still wear my Keyshawn Jets jersey sometimes.

a guy has to be SUPER hot and cool to make me overlook him being a Pats or a Cowboys fan
