Husband got a job in a canning factory up there as a cook. I did some checking because room was paid for and found out they pay was so good because food and everything else was so expensive. We turned it down. Florida to Alaska is not a good thing!!! BBRRRR!!! LMAOLMAO

Hard work, too. When was that? Would it have been seasonal? Guess if you're not used to it, could be uncomfortable up here.

That was back in 1989 and milk was like $8 a gallon. A friend of his wanted him to go wok at a salmon canning place. I think it was for like 8 months at a time. He found out how much cigarettes abd beer cost so he said forget it!! laugh out loud

I saw that it was a PINK blanket you puppy peed on. It's okay if you threw that away or used it for a rag or something unsavory. I hope you're taking Rudy out after naps, eating and playing. Did that with ours and she got it figured out quick. The other one - OMG - totally opposite. Have you ever watched Sarah Palin's Alaska? It's actually pretty good and true to life on the experiences.

Places like that are considered remote and yes, things are very expensive. It sure would have been a great opportunity you you though! Would've seen some beautiful country!

I had such horrible migraines back then the light made my head pound. I could only come out at night. Everyone used to tease me that I was part vampire since I love my meat extra rare and only came out at night. Lost my headaches soon after I threw my ex out!!! Big Grin

This episode was at some sort of race gathering with skiers and snowmobiles and campers, It looked like alot of fun to me except too many cops hanging around. Then it showed arresting someone for a little weed, It said was legal in your home but not in your car, WTF, How ya suppose to get it home. I thought it was legal anyway
