Hi all,
I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.
Everyone is welcome!
I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.
This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.
So, I hope it catches on !

Talonts - I've been working on the links you gave me. To clean up/fix errors folks want money! One that looked okay was ErrorTeck. Know anything about that one. I did do a bunch of what was suggested in getting rid of iTunes but it's still there. Will try more tomorrow with a clear head. Thanks again for the links!
One of the problems with iTunes/Quicktime/etc is that there are often several processes and services running all the time, and if an install/uninstall screwed up and didn't shut them down at the right point, it can leave files and Registry entries behind. Unfortunately it can be a serious mess to clean up, as you've found.
But if you can post the entire error messages, I can look around. I can also install iTunes on one of my XP systems so I can see what Registry folders you might need to delete, if it comes to that.
If you can get it to the point that the uninstall is complete, you might want to create a Restore Point before installing iTunes, so you can revert if it blows up again.
I've been using roboform
For example, one of my worst sweeps is DIY's Run My Renovation - if you vote on all the stuff, you go through 10 screens or so. Even with auto-fill, it took minutes. It takes less than a minute now, and a single double-click on the bookmark, then just watch it run through all the screens.

I haven't played any of my sweeps tonight...been too busy posting sweeps!
Think I'll finish the ones I'm working on now, then take a break for some snooze time.
