Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

This morning around 10:30am Alaska time it was 6 degrees. Now at 5pm it is 24 degrees, snowing and wind blowing. Looks like we might be in for the warm Chinook winds - hoping for no more major meltdowns again!

Thank you. I'm on next question now - which one to download:
Available Files - Offline installation (15.79 MB): jre-6u23-windows-i586.exe
Optional Files - Online installation (0.84 MB): jre-6u23-windows-i586-iftw-rv.exe
Optional Files - Online Kernal install (0.84 MB): jre-6u23-windows-i586-iftw-k.exe
Offline is the most useful, especially if you have more than one computer, as you can use it to install multiple times. Online version ends up downloading about the same size during install, doesn't save any time. Ignore the Kernel install.

Oh yeah? I'll bet you I could Big Grin

But I won't. I picked the Packers to win in that one contest, though I'm not going to tell you the score I picked.
To be totally honest, you were the first person that came to mind when I made that comment!! And, NOT!! Not even you could piss me off tonight!! We are going to the Superbowl!!

Yeah, well, water under the bridge and all that. Like I said, I don't hold a grudge, not healthy.

I know a way to at least stop your heart for a second - I'm in a LOT of contests where the Grand prize is Superbowl tix. If I win them.....I'll turn them down.

Not worth the tax burden, I'm in those contests for the other prizes.

You're right...someone came on the other night and said to replace the http:// with www.
I see there's quite a few links on Wendy's wall that are using www. instead of http://
Too much for for me! bounce

Choose Windows, NOT Windows x64 - Windows XP Home is 32-bit.

Choose either of those 2, but if you think you might need to reinstall later, or have it to install on another computer, download the offline - the online will just download all the files anyways, so you won't save any time overall.

During the install, it might ask you to install the Ask or Yahoo toolbars, I'd uncheck them if I were you, they're just one more thing to gum up the works.
I installed the JRE offline one, rebooted, tried to uninstall iTunes and same messages came up again. This is getting extremely frustrating!!

Congrats to all you Steelers fans - way to go!

Okay, so I know zip about sports. nod I just went on-line and searched for Superbowl and found out that it's scheduled for February 6th. That's the end of like 50% of the contests/sweepstakes I've entered in the last month. That Snu's thing had better be pretty darn good or there'll be no reason to get up in the morning. Do you think it would be worth my while to call a Marlboro CSR and explain my needs? Do you think it would effect the type of contest they're preparing? Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Wouldn't hurt to try....and if you don't get anywhere with the CS reps...ask mvario to talk to them....you know how he's got them all eating out of his hand. Big Grin

Did you try this?

For Windows 2000 or Windows XP:
1. On the Start menu, click Run.
2. In the "Open" field dialog box, enter the following command and click OK:
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
3. A message should appear stating that the "DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll succeeded."
4. Click OK and try installing iTunes or QuickTime again.

you might need to reboot before you uninstall.

can you run itunes? does it open or do you get the same error?
