Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

I can usually find the rules for most things (this site or any others).

I wouldn't think some of you would be so keen on the rules after all the arguments about rules that went on.

OK, I forgot about the ridiculously small size limits SD has on avatars, this one has been tested and works. I don't know if I can do a lot more with it and stay within the restrictive limits...

Very cool! What software do you use to do that? Is it hard for a novice to figure out/use? (remember, you're a computer guru, and I'm not) Smilie

I used Paintshop Pro XI to grab the hands/nose areas, rotate 10 degrees, then save. Then did it again. If I wanted it cleaner, I would have individually set background pixel colors, but as a quick test, it looked decent enough. Saved the 3 frames as GIFs, then dropped them into UnFREEz in order, set the time for each frame for a set time, then saved it. Then had to do that several times, removing frames over and over again until the final filesize was within the tiny restrictions of SD :-/

PSP is a pay program, but I've been using it since v7 probably 8-10 years ago, I wait for FAR deals on it. But there are LOTS of graphics programs out there that can do it - GIMP will probably work fine, and is freeware. UnFREEz is freeware.

If SD weren't so ridiculous on filesize, I could have made it really smooth with several more frames with less rotation between them. But as such a small display size, it's good enough.

Way to go OkDog!!! I couldn't resist opening it up being a Catholic myself and this person "appears" to be as well. Looks bad on the Catholic front.

Thanks for pursuing the issue and stating the rules for sign-up.

I don't care what some say - cheating is simply not right - that's part of what's wrong with this world today - AMEN.

Its just the sign up for the contest. In OWTW we had to sign up and the contest started 2 weeks later. Better than Camel. I saw a lot of people on camel.com say they had just got the email that camel was going to have a new contest and when they signed in to check it out the contest was already over!!!
