Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

Do they sell thick socks in Florida?
If not, I'll send you some....they're pretty much a winter staple in Colorado. Big Grin

Is Florida getting cold weather?Cool
No, but if your boots are a bit too big, thick socks help.

My first digital camera used AA batteries & was a hog! That's when I quit using regular batteries in the electronics & got the rechargeable ones & a charger.

My current digital camera has a rechargeable lithium battery that uses a USB cord so I can just plug it into a wall outlet. Seems much easier to me.
My current camera (the Marlboro one goes in storage as my next camera) has a battery pack, but I much prefer cameras that can take AA's or AAA's. Those you can find in any small town in any country.

Several years ago, a friend and I went on a weekend trip while we were studying in Costa Rica -- we were staying in a small town near a rainforest national park, and her camera battery pack bit the dust (all batteries eventually fail). We ended up buying a couple of 35mm disposable cameras (back when these were still around) for something like $20+ each. A new set of AA batteries would have cost a couple dollars.

Just got the interstate battery motorsport calendar today. It's very nice and big. Also got camel coupons 2 - $1.50 of per pack and a free can of camel snus with any camel purchase. Bad news is I also got my pension check stub for this month and my federal went up $32.00 that stinks when your on a fixed income.
I got the calendar and the coupons today also, and newport coupons. And a box of Huchi tobacco! (Huka) and a sinus rinse kit!! Not quite sure who I can give this too!! LOL I also drove to Baraboo, in the terrible weather, to pick up my boots!! They fit perfect!! What a great mail day!!

Wish that were true here...I was forced into early retirement from the state of Virginia this year after 35 years service as an engineer...State pays $128.00 per month towards my health insurance---

Stay on your toes, my friend---Insurance and pensions are in trouble in all 50 states and the federal stimulus ended this year---All options are on the table... And the ax will fall before anyone sees it coming---

That makes sense to me, considering the travel you do & how you use your camera. I don't travel much, and basically use my camera for family photos. Still like my 35mm camera the best overall though!
I'm afraid that someday they will do away with 35mm film. That would totally suck! My girls use their 35mm cameras a lot too, both for personal use and photography courses in high school.

ya so glad I took early retirement 2 years ago since then they have changed the age of normal and early retirement and have decreased the pension for future retirees. So glad I went when I did even with the reduced pension i'm probably better off the others as I am locked in now. Only thing in my one pension health insurance, eye, dental and drugs doesn't kick in for 8 more years.
