Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Thanks to everyone for their great advice about generators and tips for power outages. That kitty litter idea is very ingenious. I wish I still had the port-a-potty we got when my son broke his leg.... I could have put the litter in the container (it had a lid too) and had a comfy seat. bounce

I dont think they ran here today with all the snow. Even the road grader wiped out in front of my house today, just barely missed my cousins car.

Just checked my e-mail and Marlboro is shipping my bonus gift! I didn't know I was getting a bonus. When we participated in OWTW3, we each got a quality leather roll-up checkerboard, and a thank you for taking on the road to a million. That was so different...We were on dial-up, there was no forum for help with the clues, but most of all there was no GEAR TO WIN!

Yeah, we didn't get hit as bad here as we were supposed to with snow, but the wind chill today was a bitter -30. BRRRR....

I haven't been on this Forum for awhile. We had one person here about a week and a half ago who posted that she received her mountain bike. I think the latest from Marlboro is that the bikes won't be shipped until June but I'm curious, did anyone else post that they received a bike or was she the only one?

I didn't even know about the previous OWTW contests. Sure glad I got in on OWTW4, and the upcoming Snus Challenge.

We're due to get -15 tomorrow!!!! So cold!! Confused My sister used to work at a gas station years ago. One day she went to work and the manager was out at the pump warming it up with a zippo!!!! She made her quit. The manager said the gas was frozen. My sister got a different job the next day. She told the owner what happened and the only reason gas would freeze is if it has water in it!!

We are having high winds up to 50 mph, whiteout conditions, thundersnow, lightening, Lake Shore Drive is closed. Parts of Clark and Addison Streets are closed as part of Wrigley Field roof is blowing off. I have heard sirens for several hours.

We didn't get the forecasted snow here either...just really cold temps. Cold enough to call off school today, and just found out they're closed tomorrow too. That -30 is beyond cold! Not quite that bad here today, -6/-23 with the wind chill. Supposed to warm up to mid 30's to low 40's by the end of the week, thankfully.

Oh, and all you So Cal & Florida people can just keep your comments about how warm it is where you are to yourselves, thank you very much! LMAO
