Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

we had 16 inches of snow with 4-5ft drifts. a lot of digging out. i am glad to have the camera to take pics of the dogs. the city basically shut down for the day.

CowboyGreat looking dogs! Looks like they're having lots of fun in the snow! The white one looks like one of the lab/retriever mix girls I lost last summer. Miss them! Hope you are staying warm!

thanks: they are great dogs. sorry to hear about your dog. i dont know what i would do without them. we adpoted the white one from a kill shelter in alabama. for a dog that came from the south, he really loves the snow. i like the winter when everything is frozen. the dogs dont track in a the dirt and mud.

Yeah, We're supposed to get slammed again on monday. We didnt get the full 20" , maybe 15 to 18 but we are expecting -15 tonight. Kinda makes me miss Fla. I didnt own a coat the whole time I lived down there!!

I was worried about my satellite TV going out. So went to Best Buy yesterday morning and bought an antenna for my computer which has a TV tuner. Works great, HD picture, but satellite hasn't gone out.

We don't have anything on the ground here it hit above us.It was very windy last night,sounded pretty spooky and the electric flashed a couple of times.

I do believe you do not need an internet connection. It does not buffer and goof around like trying to watch internet TV.

BUT....you do have to have a TV tuner installed on the computer. I ordered my computer with the TV Tuner installed. Cost $50 extra. You can hook your Cable TV or Satellite directly into the computer and get whatever programs you have subscribed to, or use anntenna. You can also record the programs, just like with a DVR. Mine has a remote control.

I only wanted over-the-air reception for local channels in the event my satellite goes out, which it does during tornado weather and rain storms--just when you need it the most for weather reports.
