Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

Yeah, I heard it call MayPop, this variety is pretty hardy, although I don't think it will survive the 17 degrees we had here this morning. It is a vine and it originally came from Peru, but grows well in the southern states from Texas to Florida. Wink
Growing up in Ga my mother use to pick them for me & my younger sister and make ballerinas out of them for us to play with. Haven't seen any in years.

Cool! Thanks you! Just the kind of computer giveaways I'm looking for (especially since I'm still on the dinosaur since Marlboro put me on the no-fly list for the netbook indefinitely)
I couldn't tell, do we need to enter each week again?
I'm not sure about the entry thing either. I bookmarked the site & plan to check back when Week 2 starts, and see if each week needs a separate entry.

Looks like a fun event! Maybe get there some year. This year, I'll be taking care of some baby chicks, and working on my baccy crop for this year. Grow my own Philip Morris Commanders, Camels, etc.. Big Grin

Question... what about the refrigerator? That can't be turned off, so would I plug it in after?
After Hurricane Rita we had no problem with running the frig and the freezer on our 5000 watt generator. We had to plug one in and wait 30 minutes before plugging the other in. After that they both stayed plugged in continuously. Even with a couple of lights and computer, the gen had no problem keeping up. At night, we unplugged both in order to run our small room ac. This went on for almost a month and we lost no food. Had to travel 70 miles for fuel though. For the first two weeks I had to go myself for the fuel as they would not allow anyone into town unless you were "needed" in the area. I own a towing company so I could come and go at will even after the dusk to dawn curfew.[/QUOTE]
You were one of the lucky ones!! Hubby and I were in Lake Conroe, Tx and yes we were without power for about a month also.. They got power on to the areas closest to the relay stations first then the outlying areas. You talk about a mess. We had only moved there about 4 months b4 that andd our friends had t-shirts made up that said "I survived Hurricanne Rita" and at a hurricane party wore them and gave me one. It said "I'm Rita" lmao

thanks: they are great dogs. sorry to hear about your dog. i dont know what i would do without them. we adpoted the white one from a kill shelter in alabama. for a dog that came from the south, he really loves the snow. i like the winter when everything is frozen. the dogs dont track in a the dirt and mud.
CowboyI only have a couple pictures of my girls on my computer. I've never posted a picture, so let's see if this works.

Here's another number for Marlboro. It's their Consumer Affairs division.

1-800-494-2444

They seem to have a lot more information to give out than the 1-800-Marlboro folks. You can also request to speak to someone in their Technical Support division with issues concerning the supplied memory card that came with the netbook. Although the memory card was an added "bonus", my analogy on receiving the netbook with the non-functional card was like buying a dog at Petland and being given a can of cat food. It raises too many concerns and questions. The person I spoke to said they are aware of the problem, and they may replace the card since it isn't compatible with the netbook. He took down my information, but I honestly don't know if you need to call to be included in on this or not. My theory is that the more people who do, the more likely they will do a national distribution. If you do call, perhaps suggest they send out the 2 Gig internal memory upgrade in replacement of the memory card.

Lastly, if anyone has an extra Leatherman tool they wouldn't mind parting with, I would be most appreciative. Just send me a PM, and I'll forward my mailing address. Thanks in advance.
