Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

My son put the gnome one on his. To dumb it down for me he said it was because he likes gnomes!!! LMAO Pretty bad that your getting your netbook before your boots. Good thing they didnt have to mesure anything to put you on the back order list for the net book!!! LMAO

Which distro did he use? Ubuntu? I might install both gnowm and xde. Ubuntu Netbook uses Unity which I don't know if I like (and which Natty is going to use as default instead of Gnome). Ah decisions. I might just try PinGuy distribution, it's based on Ubuntu and I've read nice things about it. I'm pretty sure it uses Gnome. Either way it saves a lot of work installing extras.

I'm betting that I get stuff from the Snus Challenge before I get my boots. I'm sure those ear buds will ship before April.

Yeah, remind me to be careful when the prize is actually a certificate to present to the manufacturer. That way no one takes responsibility for any sort of timely delivery.

I got the OD gift card , but I entered a contest for tires back in Dec and was supposed to get a free air pressure kit. Nothing yet on that...

Have you priced MS Office? It ain't exactly free.

The Chrome notebooks are valued at $450, but a good chunk of that is the 2 years of 100MB/mo Verizon 3G service.
