Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

jemeredth how did you get your pics to cycle like that ? Can you teach me ?
Actually, I helped her with that, using a small .gif animator program called Easy GIF Animator (that Gilcher recommended to me). You can download it on the internet. Or, if you don't want to do that then post the pictures you want to use, and I can download them to my computer, resize them to avatar size, then use the animator program to cycle them. Then I would post the animated avatar back here on the FF so you can download it for use as your avatar.

Have you priced MS Office? It ain't exactly free.

The Chrome notebooks are valued at $450, but a good chunk of that is the 2 years of 100MB/mo Verizon 3G service.
okay, you've got a valid point. I didn't know we were getting MS office. But it would be nice to get regular windows 7 instead of starter, and 2 gb of ram since everyone says it runs too slow with just 1. I know.....why in the world would i complain about something i'm getting for free. Just sayin'....I'm just getting anxious waiting for my netbook.wave

Very few netbooks default to 2Gig. And many people would rather have W7 Starter than something higher that might bog it down (not me, I was running the W7 Ultimate beta on a 512MB iPAQ desktop and loving it).

But yeah, it's like me complaining that the camera flash has to be manually flipped up, it doesn't have a spring-loaded button Big GrinBig Grin

Since it is a single core processor, I have heard people say that the full windows version slows it down. I am pretty sure windows starter has ready boost feature, so if you put a fash drive in the usb port and dedicate it to memory, that will slightly improve performance. I will definitely upgrade to 2g memory, but will wait untill I actually receive net book to puchase the memory in case they change the model again.

Well, sure, but you don't need to develop them like 35MM film. And you don't need to wait for that to view them shake head
