Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

I might not need it, but yesterday I couldn't open up the SNUS Challenge on the Marlboro site and that concerns me because we will be on vacation for a couple weeks during the contest and I need to be able to access the questions. In a bit, I'll try it again.
I haven't been on line with it I dont have wifi and dont feel like unhooking my pc. BTW anyone know if i want to get a wireless router do I have to get it from my cable company and pay them each month or can I just buy one and hook it up?

You can hook one up, pretty easy!! Rip-off through the cable company!! I got my Linksys N wireless over a year ago, and it was only about $50 then, probably cheaper now.

Love the netbook...but let's tell the truth: Windowds 7 starter edition sucks!!! This isn't a knock on Marlboro or Samsung in the least bit...but you cheap a@@ Microsoft SOBs. I understand wanting to get paid for your software...but how dare you not even allow me to change my background, put on a screen-saver, or password lock my computer if it "wakes up" from hibernating/sleeping? I am honestly considering scrapping the whole system and going to XP...I heard it runs great on netbooks. Anyone else have any not too crazy ideas?

No external drive or extra RAM needed for this. The software is already installed on your netbook as a trial but with the "Key" it's yours forever.

In the box you will find the "Product Key Card" which is just a 25-character number/letter string that you will type in when prompted (if you wish to activate the software) after opening MS Office on your computer.

It is actually a nice addition from Marlboro that retails for $119.99.

You can buy one and hook it up. I got one a couple years ago because I'd bring my laptop home from work (retired now) and didn't want to hook up to my home computer. It was easy to install, but I do remember having to call their tech # for a little help. I got a Linksys.

Fifty-one years ago, Herman James, a North Carolina mountain man, was drafted by the Army.
On his first day in basic training, the Army issued him a comb. That afternoon the Army barber sheared off all his hair.
On his second day, the Army issued Herman a toothbrush. That afternoon the Army dentist yanked seven of his teeth.
On the third day, the Army issued him a jock strap. The Army has been looking for Herman for 51 years.....

You are correct, it's cheap and petty on Micro$oft's part. It's intentionally crippled and more like a demo with the sole purpose of getting people to have to invest in the upgrade.

I didn't even bother, I just went with 64-bit Ubuntu. If you need to run software that will only run on MS Windows then given the choice between Win7 Crippled or XP I would go with XP.

Hopefully we can figure out the dvd playing prob. May have to ask some of our tech friends!! I actually saw something like that on a review before I ordered, and it seemed to be an easy fix. Guess I will have to go back and try to find it!! Windows 7 doesn't seem to like to work with a lot of things. I think I like my XP better.

I upgraded my netbook to win 7 home premium. I put a movie on a flashdrive, it played. would have been a bit smoother with 2 g ram. but it did play.
