Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

when i talked to samsung about not being able to register they new nothing about the 8 GB card or the window office. they said that had to have been added because that did not come form them. Also i could not register yet because it is a new netbook and they have not put the specs and registration numbers on their website yet. I should try to register it again in a couple weeks.

Yes, got mine a couple of days ago. A lot to set up, but I got Firefox 4 up and most of my usual addons installed. A lot of my usual stuff I'll just install as I need it.

All those days we answered the outwit i bookmarked each page, sometimes a few times daily. I guess I am bored and I just was looking back - I saved them all. Am I supposed to delete them or are they ok just sitting there a mile high? And I think I am supposed to delete cookies or something, right? Have not done that since about week 4 on outwit.

Uh oh, then it'll be years, if the cows don't eat it first. It was a $50 Mastercard. Hopefully it will arrive soon. I think I was one of the first to win on that sweep so I have no idea how fast they ship.

I know they were added, but the specs for the 'puter says it supports SDHC cards, or it should. The BIOS is a 1.0 version so I figured it was a new model. I'm still guessing that we're going to have to do a BIOS upgrade for SDHC support.

Doesn't matter. I have a huge amount of bookmarks going back years that I've never gotten around to cleaning up. One thing that was nice with Firefox 4, setting up the new computer, with the sync function all my config and bookmarks were automatically moved to the new computer for Firefox (except addons, I hope they add that to sync some day).

A lot of folks worry about cookies and delete them all the time. I used to but I haven't bothered in forever, plus I like the convenience of not having to log in all the time. It's a trade off.

The first time I called samsung and gave them my serial # they already had me registered and I assumed Marlboro did it. They knew my name without me telling them. Maybe they were bracing themselves for all my phone calls. Smilie Strange - .do you think I got the older model?

BIOS is the low level software built into the computer that loads up even before the operating system. It's were a lot of hardware configuration is determined. On the netbook you can see the BIOS configuration screens if you hit F2 right after you power up.
