Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

Have you guys tried the instant win on this one yet?
I was able to play it twice in the beginning. Since then, it says I have already played each day I access it. I've tried FF, IE, Chrome, Chrome canary, all say already played. Contacting their support was useless.

You have to click YES to uninstall it. Even though it's asking if you want to allow the program to update the software, what it's really asking is if you want to allow it to uninstall it...considered an update I guess.
omg ty so click yes it will uninstall?

Let me know if you get the Norton back-up uninstalled.

Good to hear you got the wifi all set up.

Geez, I don't know what you should name her....how about Rikki, after your lover-boy Ricky Nelson?

What was the AVG debacle. I used to use AVG several years ago, but got a nasty virus and stopped using it. I guess no virus software is perfect.

Why people get pleasure out of damaging people's computers Mad is beyond my comprehension, I say get out the pliers and blowtorches and make an example of these computer terrorists ( ok that is a little extreme, but I just do not understand people who destroy peoples property for no reason, I mean what lowlifes.)
The AVG debacle was when the program screwed up an would not allow a certain portion of users to boot their computers. Here's [engadget.com] an article about it.

Most viruses/malware nowadays isn't people just getting pleasure out of damaging people's computers like it used to be in the old days. Nowadays, a lot of infections are to steal personal information, send spam, or become part of a botnet. What really disgusts and angers me is the newest viruses that are an extortion scheme -- they block everything on your computer unless you pay the creator some amount of money -- usually between 30 and 100 dollars.

I do agree with the pliers and blowtorches -- though we should add rusty razor blades for good measure.

Yikes indeed. A lot of spam and malware is also highly tied to organized crime in Africa and former Soviet-bloc nations. The nigerian spam emails especially are usually individually written and run by either really poor people in Africa working for organized crime syndicates, or sometimes even by human trafficking victims.

Thanks for the great info. I did not know about the extortion schemes. It seems law enforcement puts a low priority on so called "white collar crime."

American spammers don't usually last long -- the FBI actually does a great job getting one ones operating in the US. It was big news several years ago when Russia busted one guy, and it stopped over half of all spam worldwide.

The problem that law enforcement is that a lot of this crap comes from countries where government is incapable or pretty much nonexistent.

It's a lot similar to the Somalian pirate situation -- there has effectively been no government in Somalia for around 20 years now, and now their criminals are hijacking ships, with no good way of stopping them without violating international treaties and international sovereignty rights.

I have been playing the State Farm/NBA instant win game & have won 12 credits for music dowloands. Will use these at the end.
Also, won a 20% off at the NBA store and just now won a $5 gift card to the NBA store. I will not use either of these, and was wondering if anyone else is playing the game and would like my codes to redeem them.
