I just now survived the incredibly long, but easy process of downloading and installing Win7 SP1 on OWTW4 (Sammy netbook) and all seems OK so far.
PS Thanks Mvario for helping me locate the spell check in FF last week.nod

Thanks for that! Still haven't gotten mine but would like to have the memory on hand for when it does show up. Though already wasted one stick that I ordered before they started shipping going by the old specs lol. To install the memory, is it just as simple as putting the new stick in there and it's ready to go? Or do you have to change anything in the bios or anything to show it it has 2gb?

Thanks much. I think I would miss out on half the cool sweeps/promos if it weren't for this thread.

Which makes me think, anyone interested in doing some kind of group email thing where those interested could sign up and then a daily email could go out if there are any really good promos or sweeps? For example, I am really happy I got in on the Bank of the West checking account promo for a free ipod but almost missed the cutoff date since I wasn't looking for it. Or the free google chrome notebook program, almost completely missed that but glad I didn't.

On the other hand I'm pissed at myself for not seeing the Dr. Oz thing and missed out on a Nook, which I would have loved.

But if we have a cool little group that shared all the best things to make sure we don't miss out on anything in case we either don't see it or, god forbid, can't make it onto slickdeals for a day lol. I would have been in love with the person who emailed me about the Dr. Oz nook thing but sadly, I completely missed any info on it.

I realize you can set up deal alerts but most of the best deals are random things you might not even think about. Of course I set up a deal alert for dr. oz now but who knows what else I might miss out on if I'm not going through every thread of every forum Wink.

No idea how to really set something up but would anybody be interested in being "deal pen pals"?

Very simple.

Remove the battery, open the memory cover, take out the 1GB memory, snap in the 2GB, replace the cover, replace the battery. Done.

The first bit of this video shows how easy it is to do http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrJgvHZnHqY unlike this guy you should REMOVE THE BATTERY before opening the cover to remove the memory! (the video is for an N150 but is the same process for the N145. He goes on to take the whole thing apart but you won't be doing that.)
