Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

The 8G SD card will format if you right click on the D: drive, select format, then turn off the Quick Format option!

no not me, someone posted this on snus so i wrote it down, I cannot remember who it was, It worked for me so I hope it works for others I am running windows 7Ultimate on the netbook

no but if you update windows starter to home premium you can change the wallpaper without any problems. for a really good deal on upgrading pm me or check out neel2004 s posts.

I have even watched a movie on my netbook once I updated. even before I added more ram.

Thanks (and I've spoken to Neel on the topic before), but I've blown off Micro$oft. I change wallpaper and watch movies all the time, I just put Ubuntu Linux (64 bit) on the netbook as soon as I got it. I have no Windows-specific program needs (well, I like utorrent, but that runs easily in Wine on Linux) so I'm not tied to Ballmer's OS. Unfortunately that 8gb SD card doesn't work in Linux either shake head But thank you anyway for the offer. Smilie

Basically they went out of their way to cripple Starter to the point where it's just one notch above being a demo. The thieves at M$ just want everyone with it to pay to upgrade. The wallpaper thing is just soooo petty.

All in all a pretty good week. I got my strudel coupons, Valspar paint, and 3 protein bars in the mail. Both wife and I got the earbuds email. Both the dog and myself got some freebies comming. and I just won another Halls and a Tonys pizza back to back about a minute apart !!!!
