Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

yes i did see them. they were great. the star tube is time consuming. I like to do scenery cakes. they are alot of fun. I used to work in a bakery for many years. too stressful. i would never decorate for a living. i only do it for my special people.

thank you. the only reason i can decorate alittle is all the years i worked in a bakery. You learn to do alot of things when your always shorthanded. I only do it for fun now.

Same here only for family and friend's.Someone ask me to do a wedding cake for them I told them no,that would be too stressful.

yes wedding cakes are stressful. the last wedding cake i made was for my neice eight years ago. to hard to do at home. at the bakery u had everything right there alot easier.

I usually end up making some kind of cake that doesn't need to be decorated to look good if its a formal occasion. I love making a really good tres leches cake (I use Alton Brown's recipe with a few more spices) with a thick layer of real whipped cream on top.
