Hi all,
I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.
Everyone is welcome!
I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.
This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.
So, I hope it catches on !

I was reading through the posts yesterday about 2AM west coast time. I had just driven 80 miles through really nasty western Washington snow...slush, then slick, and it was totally tricky. I was pretty exhausted.
After reading through a bunch of pages, I figured out that you were talking about your kitty (Angel) and the contest you entered. I had seen the pictures you posted here, and although I liked the first one the best, I realized that it was a facebook contest of some sort. Without trying to backtrack, I'm wondering if you could post the link again, so I can give Angel my vote. It sounds like a screwball contest by your description and that of others here...but I'd like to help out your kitty cause (not claws)!!!

We live on the Olympic Peninsula in the teeny town of Clearwater. It's not really a town, but about twenty five homes on the Clearwater River. We're 45 miles south of Forks (of Twilight fame) and 60 miles north of Aberdeen. We're about one mile from the ocean...inland enough that we don't get the fog in the summer. It's beautiful and remote, teeming with wildlife.
I'm a Colorado girl originally, so I know all about snow (I drive a Subaru). But the snow here is tricky to drive in, and most of the people here DO NOT know how to drive in the snow! Last night's drive was stressful...35 MPH the entire time on Highway 101.
Where do you live in Idaho? I've driven back and forth from Colorado to Washington many, many times...

Thanks...I'll check it out tomorrow...day off work. You have such a pretty kitty. Ours are half wild and live outdoors and in the garage. I've been allergic to cats my whole life, although it seems better now. But I can't pick them up or pet them without issues with my eyes, mostly. People have always told me I have cat eyes, which is weird. But having them around outside seems to keep the mice away. I'm more of a dog person...although we haven't had a dog in almost two years, after losing our twin Lab/ Retrievers.

Idaho has some beautiful country too. My boyfriend's father lives in Salmon. We've visited him there...pretty country, but driving on the highways is nuts, going super fast!
You'll enjoy the San Juans. One of my high school buddies settled on Lopez Island. Years ago I flew there in a small airplane with my boss (at the time). I didn't know what kind of pilot he was, and the landing strip was very short and made of gravel. It was kind of scary, but an incredible and beautiful flight up the coast. You will have to tell us all about your trip!
