I used to work in an electronics company and I always think, "I should be grounded before I touch that thing, and I haven't even done anything wrong...and my mother is so far away! How will I ever be grounded?" (Seriously though...don't I need one of those bands and a rubber mat?)

Not to ruin the trap you are trying to spring on VQ by making him come work on your pc, but my rule of thumb is that I make sure to touch the case with my arm (1st) and as I take (or install) parts in a pc, that way I'm pretty close to the same ground potential as the computer.
