Going on a family bike ride soon. Cool

I haven't ever worn a bike helmet. Weird. It's been 14 years since I've been on a bike. Shocking
Don't need one if you're over 18, I believe.

Probably advisable, though.

For sure - we all have helmets. It's required when you ride bikes at Cub Scout events. We rode around the neighborhood together - 2 miles. Little dude got a little tired, but it was fun!

Is papaya the one that smells like feet? I can never remember if it's papaya or mango. I also bought something once that was either a papaya or a mango and it didn't smell like feet but it was big like a gourd. I forget what I did with it and I want to say it was full of annoying seeds or something and that is What I Did On My Summer Vacation Did I Get To A 100 Words Yet?

I ate I guess it was a mango like a year ago. Maybe it was a papaya. But I think it was a mango. It was green outside. I thought it was like an apple and you could eat the skin. So I sliced it up like a peach and ate maybe a quarter of it before Patrick or someone was like "WTF? Why are you eating the skin?" Ehhh. Fiber.

I have tried for years to like Hibiscus tea. I even try to talk myself into it. "OOoooh it's so popular at Egyptian weddings! They put cinnamon and nutmeg in it and they looove it. You should loooove it too!" Cause it's got amazing health benefits. But today as I was attempting to gag down another glass of it I think I may have decided to throw in the towel. I love most other teas but for some reason I just cannot get into hibiscus.

Can you please compare them to more common things (so that I might better visualize the size)?

This is like me saying

asian pears are like that one pair of socks I have
starfruit are like my stained t-shirt that I wear when I paint

Stick Out Tongue

Wave
Today has been a great day.

Finished the platform bed. Went to watch DW and her work practice for a "Save the TaTas" kickball contest next week. Came home, grilled some beef loin steaks and hot dogs, cut the grass (boys did most of it!), weed eated (spell checker says that isn't a word but we all know it is), sprayed the yard with some bug control stuff, hung up some sconces we had spray painted to match a light fixture in the hallway I installed 2 weeks ago.

Tired but in a good way. Added several more projects to the wish list. The big one is now adding a row of bookcases/odd and ends shelves to the main wall in the master bedroom to make them look like built in shelving. Wall to wall, ceiling to floor. With space for eventually a large screen TV.

My next build will be 2 window seats with storage for the master bedroom. Gonna make them out of oak I think.

I need to learn to build things. And hang things. And measure properly. So far I've hung my new LCD HDTV on the wall but I tried to center it & failed miserably. At least it's level and I'm reasonably certain I got the 2 bolts drilled into/near the center of 2 studs.

Hanging a cabinet in the bathroom? Not so much. Measured a dozen times. Marked everything including the wall. Measured again. Drew it on paper. Measured. Hung the cabinet. It's off-center also. Which might not matter as I'm hanging a bigger medicine cabinet eventually but it pisses me off that I measured and measured and still did it wrong. laugh out loud

I wish I could build shelves. I want to put all my AV crap on very minimal shelves since the TV is mounted with hidden outlets and all. You can't see any wires at all and I'd love to get the set-top box, the receiver, and the blu-ray player all mounted on invisible shelves if possible. But after the shenanigans with the cabinet I'm not so sure I should try. LMAO

Either that or I'll get really good at patching drywall...

It's really not that hard...I'm slowly learning but I think I could do most things you've listed.

This weekend I learned how to install base boards, a toliet and a mirror. Big Grin
