One of the other forums I go to has one of these threads and I've been turned on to some good movies that other regulars just watched. I was kind of surprised not to see a similar thread here (at least not that I could find.) Big Grin

I just rewatched "Kinamand" - a cute drama about a Danish plumber who gets involved in an arranged marriage with a Chinese illegal. Good stuff (Netflix instant.)

So what have you folks watched recently?

It's a little slow paced, and there are some graphic scenes, but it's a good movie Thumbup

Any thoughts on the codpiece?

All codpieces (codpice?) pale in comparison to Malcolm McDowell as Alex in A Clockwork Orange.

Gets me ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence.

Yeah, but that one isn't near as streamlined.

Oxygen channel sucked me in last night. First they showed Titanic, and I always like to watch this when I come across it, even though I have the DVD. Then they followed with The Other Boleyn Girl. I love these period piece movies, and like anything with Natalie Portman. Now I feel like I need to see one of the Elizabeth movies again. laugh out loud

Watched Red with wifey last night. Enjoyable and had some truly funny parts. John Malkovich was pretty hilarious.

Salt - Almost as much action as Die Hard 3 and a fun romp. Entertaining enough to almost make you forget it had serious and confusing plot holes.

Resident Evil: Afterlife - Who doesn't love Milla? Dontknow

Case 39 - Really liked it. The best horror/thriller films are always the ones that don't try to explain the supernatural or really show the creature. cc: M. Night Shamalamadingdong

Ghost World - Oldie I know, but first time I have ever seen it. I will be quoting that movie forever. "Have some more kids why don't ya! Jesus Christ move it!"

The Social Network we thought was really good, but we also thought a few things were probably exaggerated for dramatic effect. I would be interested in reading the book, if one exists.
Yeah but the CGI of putting the dudes head on a body double was most excellent!

I wouldn't say it's making a comeback. There's just lots of late 20s to early 30s people who loved it as a kid and still enjoy it as an adult.
AHEM... lots of Early to Mid 40's LOVE it also....

Heartbreakers- Fun French (English Subtitles) RomCom Romp! Esp if you liked Dirty Dancing...

I just read that in the Wiki yesterday! I had no idea they did that! It was awesome.

Yeah but they're so old they usually forget they like the movie about 10mins after they watched it.
