Missing 16 year old...please read! Update Post 133 - Found

Hello, everyone. My daughter's friend is missing. From all reports, she ran away with her boyfriend on Monday, April 11. The last message that she left said that she was going to shut her phone off and throw it out the car window. That call was placed in Fond du Lac, WI.

I know this is a HUGE site and gets a lot of traffic, so I'm asking if everyone could keep an eye out for her car. It is a light green 2006 Ford Focus, Wisconsin plate 842 KDV.

Casey is 5'6, medium to thin build with shoulder length dark hair. Kris (her boyfriend) is 17 years old, a bit taller with shoulder length blonde shaggy hair. He is running away from legal trouble (I don't know what kind of trouble) but it should be noted that he stole a car 2 years ago and was found in New Mexico after 2 days. Because of that fact, they could be anywhere.

If you see them or their car, please call the police.

Here [facebook.com] is a link to a facebook page her mother created. It contains photos and more information.

Thank you for reading! I know her mother is frantic, and we are trying to get the message out so hopefully she can be brought home safely.

Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) My mom always said that if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. Nothing you've said to this point does anything to help find Casey or Kris. Sorry I've asked you to waste your time by glancing at passing cars. Please go on about your busy life and forget about it. wave

so you're getting all pissy because i am simply saying that people should respect the kids wishes? kids make stupid decisions but the only way they will learn is if you allow them to make those decisions…..

not what i said… the manner in which she is doing it is overboard and is disparaging because its simply not needed. her daughter ran away but the mom wants her situation to be handled as if her daughter were abducted…..

So you can't accept her choice to deal with this situation the way she sees fit? You don't agree with her choice so you won't let it go?

No, the mom wants the situation to be handled in a way that brings her daughter back home. It's the same way I would feel if she were mine. I don't understand why YOU are saying the mom is implying she's been abducted. They've been up front in saying she's a runaway from the beginning. They just want her back home, which any decent human being who is any kind of parent at all would want.

Did your parents leave you at a young age?

You seem bitter about parents who care about their children.

I know that's going to come across as catty, but I'm serious. Why can't you just let the woman look for her runaway daughter? If the boy's parents want to look for him and his mother, or her friend show up here and ask, we'll all talk about that there. Why is it so hard to just let the woman care?

Yep. I am. Kids deserve to have their wishes respected up to the point where those wishes could get them killed. Then the experience and knowledge and responsibility of their parents to keep them safe takes over. Sorry you aren't a parent, and haven't experienced it...I know I probably wouldn't have understood this if I wasn't a parent, either.

Great advice. I'm done. Don't have the time or energy for it. I've been driving all over my town and the three towns bordering it looking for a runaway teenager today.

thats what amber alerts are for, thats what national media whoring is for….. how many run aways get this amount of attention? its not needed on any level… the kids will go back home when they are ready and if they dont go back home then there is something else going on….

kids dont run away because they are happy… they do it because they are trying to get away from something, maybe you grew up in a fairy tale land where all parents were like june cleaver but the reality is there are a lot of parents who shouldnt have had kids.

maybe her mom is beating the crap out of her
maybe her dad is an alcoholic...
maybe her sister is trying to kill her…

and implying i am not a "... decent human being who is any kind of parent at all…" because i am not rushing to search under my bed to see if she is hiding there is complete and utter crap. I am just more interested in her being respected and treated like a real person

I don't see what purpose it makes trying to prove and disprove why this girl left. Her mother wants her home and safe. I don't see why these disputes need to happen.

You know, I think you are on to something. I couldn't put my finger on what exactly was motivating him but this makes sense.

Anyway, I'm not trying to talk sense to him anymore. I don't want the thread to get locked down because people are arguing with him.

They don't need to.

Doesn't matter if she ran away giving the middle finger to her parents on the back of a circus elephant....makes no difference at all.

If her mother wants her back, that's the end of it - at least while she's a minor, it is.

Disagree

The girl can go to court and get emancipated or whatever it's called....
