Love me some oysters too, although I'll admit that I've never had raw oysters...I just buy the cans. Big Grin

I put Duke's mayonaise in everything just about it, which seems for some reason to gross people out.
Put it in green baby peas, pinto beans, giant lima beans, Campbell's vegetable beef soup, even smear in on cornbread.

Also love onion sandwiches, cucumber sandwiches, and bacon with cucumber on wheat bread with Duke's mayo on both, which a lot of my friends think is weird.

It's a Southern thang. Tongue

Spam is definitely freaky. I would never consume that crap.

Are you absolutely positive you're Southern and not just a transplant???

Have you tried Duke's, though??? It really bears no resemblance to other mayos......none.....has a sightly sweet taste. One of the few mayos left to contain real eggs. nod

As for Spam, in general, I won't eat it either, but the Virginia Country Ham one ( not sold anymore, I don't think ) is actually very good if grilled. I tried it while camping with friends and was surprised at how tasty it was.

in japan mayonaise falls more into the category of ketchup and bbq sauce for some reason in america its not treated as a sauce

If living in Alabama for 27 out of my 30 years isn't southern, I don't know what is. I just hate mayo. Always have. It's nasty to me laugh out loud.

Don't eat meat from a can. To me that's weird.

My father is from Argentina, so I've eaten some strange cuts of meat growing up.

Argentina usually exports the best cuts of beef so the locals learned to appreciate organ meats such as the intestines.

A little neighbor girl when I was growing up in Florida once asked my dad if he was barbecuing snakes. LOL Smilie

You must be one of those snooty rich Southerners like my Grammy. I'm one of the other kind of Southerners, the kind who eats anything, pretty much, that comes in a can. There used to be a product that came in a very small clear glass jar that was thinly sliced corned beef, like you could make a sandwich of. It was made by Armour, I think, and was very deliciously salty. I used to look forward to going hiking or camping just so I could have an excuse to buy it to have to eat. nod

I don't place Duke's mayo in any one category, as it stands alone in it's uniqueness. It's not just a condiment nor a sauce. shake head

yummy

Jam 'n Cheese sandwich?

Slice of toast, Smuckers no sugar added jam, two "lite" string cheese sticks. Good stuff.
