J did this all the time in Cali. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed having friends over but when the visits would run into or past dinner time I'd stress over stretching what we had planned or figuring out something else to cook. Now, it's just his family that's always popping in. I tell him he can figure out how to feed a dozen extra people.
