An aunt just found out she has cancer and I mean in her lungs, lymph nodes, bone, uterus...just everywhere. They give her 2 - 4 weeks to live. And she had just had a physical about 8 months ago. They said it was super fast growing..nothing like they have every seen. She is not a smoker, eats fresh foods and was super healthy so a big shock. She was the one always doing for others...that type of person.
So I am torn about staying close to home to help the family out, but I don't really know what to do.
My daddy had 12 brothers and sisters so they tend to be able to rally around and all their type A personalities get things done, so I don't know how I could help but...
Not to be debbie downer here, but it is sad.
Oh and this is my Uncle's third marriage! He has been a widow now twice over. The first high school sweet heart lost to leukemia, the second wife to breast cancer and now this with his third wife...I have no words.
So the beach sounds good, but I may not go....still debating. I think I will call the parents and see if I could help with something.

On a more upbeat note...I am trying to plan a trip to Austria and if things go well I may be looking at relocating.
Does anyone have advice or information on living in Austria...A good idea or will a Southern Belle be like a fish out of water searching for ice tea and good biscuits.

I've been to Austria once - for a vacation - and had a great time. But I can't speak of living there. That'd be a huge move.

I lived maybe an hour and a half away from Salzburg for four years (albeit in Germany) but there's a fair bit of culture overlap that near the border. I think you could enjoy it. Probably gonna have to take your best biscuit recipe with you, though
