Yup, it DEFINITELY was. nod This afternoon I worked on a personal project that has been sitting idle for too many weeks. The first attempt was disappointing because I went low-ball cheap on the components. Since that didn't work so well, today I assembled some more expensive parts and the result is a helluva lot better. Sometimes, it just pays to spend a bit more on better parts. But you'll never know if you don't try the simple, cheap approach first.

Halogen lighting for a friend's work area. They're deathly afraid of anything electrical, and I love doing projects like that. It's ridiculous what some people charge for halogen lamps, when the components are so much less expensive. Somebody would want several hundred dollars for what cost me less than $100 at retail for the components.

i can't tell you how much i'm looking forward to getting out of town for my best friend's birthday in a couple weeks. we're headed to the beach, we're each getting a tattoo (i'm adding to mine) and it will be a very relaxing couple of days. Lord knows i need it.
