I offered $20 but she still said no. She's out in CO with the rich people that can't decide if they're conservative or liberal.

Pregnancy causes a hormonal change. I'm telling you....she's having miscarriages. It happens all the time and gets dismissed as a heavy flow or "not abnormal clotting".
That's only one of MANY reasons it could be occurring.

Hormonal changes happen outside of pregnancy, too. Wink

Let her talk to a professional and not make diagnoses over the internet.

I'm not we we're kinda trying to have another kid. It feels like my regular period no cramps or anything. The blood clot just freaked me out. Dontknow
If you're trying to get pregnant, definitely talk to your OB/GYN about it - they'll have more information than we do. Grin

And hug good luck! (On the getting pregnant thing, don't want to confuse that!)

Yeah. I'm just speaking from my experience with a woman who's been through plenty of pregnancies over the last 4 years. By no means am I an expert. But I'd trust good, thorough research before I trust a doctor ever again.

Hi mal wave It's about time you got your ass out of bed.

And I'll be Praying nessy!!!

Miscarriages are more than just clotting. You know if you had a miscarriage...you will have gray matter come out among other things.

Let's put it this way.....if you can answer this scenario then you qualify as a doctor more than our previous OB...here ya go. Answer this as best as you can.

Scenario: You're 36 weeks pregnant, and you go in for your routine visit with your OB discuss your birth plans. When the OB asks you how you feel you say "I've been having contractions for the last 24 hours, but they aren't intense. HOWEVER, they don't feel right. They are more painful than I remember with my last pregnancy, and I KNOW they are not Braxton-Hicks (sp?)."

Do you.....

A. Laugh and ask "And how do you feel about that?" and then go on to talk about how you're retiring from OB practice in a month, or do you

B. Do an exam?

I wouldn't have gone to an OB/GYN for a routine pregnancy in the first place. (Don't even get me started on that!)

Not all doctors are great - if you don't like one, you can always go find another one. I've been to doctors I don't like (I about slapped one that tried to give me antibiotics when my son had the flu! Ranting) and I won't hesitate to get a 2nd, 3rd or 4th opinion if necessary.

Yeah they suck for the most part. I trust nurses most of all though. They know how the system works. They know the docs playbook. And they know the patients better than the docs do.

And antibiotics for the flu! OMG It's cause they make big chingos for prescriptions and procedures.

It's all good. I got one perfectly healthy child. So I am very happy.

As to your question:
I would do an exam. However a miscarriage is really sharp pains; like stabbing.

If she did have a miscarriage and no gray matter came out I suggest she see an obgyn. You can get so many infections from not getting a d and c. Worst.Thing.Ever.
