P.S. Get outta my yawd!
Which ultimately leads to me being questioned if they have different dads, if ds is mulatto "because they know someone who is" blah blah blah. Or the looks of sympathy when I'm with them by myself are even better
He's only 1/4 Romanian but apparently that 1/4 is enough to make people question his ethnicity.
She said she'd sometimes get strange looks, too.
DH and I both have a light complexion and blue eyes, the only difference is he has light brown hair and I have blonde. If we have another it might be more varied than DS. (He looks just like me.)
Both my parents were blonde, and my brother and I both are, and then later when they had a third child, he had bright red hair and freckles. People thought he was adopted all the time.
My dad is Romanian and my mom is half Irish and whatever hot dish mix her mom was.
I get the green eyes from the Irish part, but look nothing like her side of the family or the rest of my siblings.
I used to hope I was adopted, but unfortunately it's not true
I now know otherwise - I look almost exactly like my mom. My hands and feet are identical to hers. The feet especially. I can't paint my toenails any color she would have painted them, because they look exactly like hers and that freaks me out a little bit.
Girl please. I'll get outta yo yawd as soon as you stop cutting my lawn

Good to see you!
And here I thought you were smarter than that... my mistake.

Yeah, I've seen that happen. (People don't seem to understand genetics very well...) Especially when you have a couple that really don't have similar features. A co-worker of mine at my last job had the same thing - both she and her son were pale, light eyes and hair, and her daughter and her husband had dark eyes, hair, and an olive complexion.
