Because abuse has become commonplace. I don't know what the stats are, but I would think that most welfare recipients have cell phones. Some states even give cell phones to them now. If you can pass a drug test and need assistance, just ask.

Cars, too. From what I've heard, luxury cars cost a bunch more money, but don't last longer, don't have fewer repair requirements, etc. WTF is the point of spending three times as much on a car if it's not going to last three times as long? Crazy

Honestly there are more people in the lounge that i agree with than anywhere else. I was just venting. Besides, any of the reasons you guys brought up are valid reasons, but the fact that I see this lady all the time tells me this isn't something she's new to. Quite the contrary. Over the years I've seen her perfect it. She's downloaded a few kids and the grocery bags just keep multiplying and multiplying. The iphone is only about 6 months old though.

Fair enough. And I definitely agree with you, though. There are far too many people that abuse it. You should not be able to have any luxury items if your income is being provided to you by a program like that.
