It's kinda funny...in the past few years I've gained another kid and tattoo and lost a fish and a husband LMAO

For me, I have to have a life event significant enough to remember forever. Otherwise, it's not worthy of a mark on my skin. I have enough of those from just living life. I thought I'd get one when my dad died, but my dad wouldn't approve.

So far, I only have one. I've had significant life events since the first one, but the life event and the tattoo just haven't...meshed...I guess.

I have zero for this exact reason. I guess I haven't found anything worthy of marking myself for life yet Sadwalk

It's a meaningless rose with vines thing around my thigh. Got drunk, friend said "let's get tattoos!", and now I'm marked for life. At least I still find it pretty, thank God

I have a lot of friends with them (and a lot of friends without) and I see some people that I think..."Wow...really? Are you going to want a chicken leg tattooed on your thigh when you're 62?"

I mean...if so, that's awesome and I'm all for it, but I've seen some people just look kind of...well...I don't know. For instance, I have a friend(ish type person) with eyelid tattoos and I think...I wonder how that will go for him in his...say...40s.

I have other friends who have TONS of colorful tattoos and it manages to look lovely on them. Some of them are already older and it still looks great, so...I guess you just never know.
