5:35 a.m. marg_fan is up. The sound of crickets (tinnitus) is still pretty bad.

5:37 a.m. marg_fan wonders if tinnitus played a role in the old joke about a bad joke being greeted with silence and crickets. marg_fan's tinnitus is the worst when there is no sound to focus on.

1:45 p.m. marg_fan notes if he DID go back in time it wouldn't be an hour and 15 minutes to quitting time as it is now. marg_fan also notes that all of this time travel conundrum talk has given him a headache.

7:29 p.m. marg_fan notes the "white noise" of the waves may help mask the high pitched cricket sounds he hears when it is quite quiet.

7:32 p.m. marg_fan also notes his tinnitus is at its worse when in a small, enclosed room and having something over his ears. marg_fan had his hearing checked to see about getting treatment. marg_fan further mentions they stuck him in a small, enclosed room and put headphones on him to test his hearing.

7:35 p.m. marg_fan's results noted he has hearing loss in the higher pitch range. marg_fan was not pleased because if he didn't have tinnutus, he might just be able the hear high pitched tones instead of the ringing in his ears...

7:37 p.m. marg_fan is NOT happy he specifically requested a consult for the tinnitus and was told that the only thing they could do is give him hearing aids to amplify the sounds he is not hearing which might NOT be necessary if they could treat his tinnitus...

7:38 p.m. marg_fan would like to apologize to anyone foolish enough to have read all of this.
