Schbusdrvr Update Thread - Update in Post#1 11.19.06 5:30pm

*UPDATE-Jane just texted that she is getting ready to leave the hospital shortly. She's heading home!

*UPDATE-Jane had a fever through the night. She said she can hardly move and it hurts to breathe. This was in a text msg so I have no other details. The good news is that she sent a pic of her breakfast and there was no evidence of green jello! I told her that prayers and well wishes would continue. I know she appreciates it.

*UPDATE- I recd a short text from Jane. She thanks everyone for the support! The rest of the message needs a decoder ring-her phone is mucked up.

*UPDATE- I received an email from Jane's son. He said that she came through surgery fine, but has some pain which she is facing with strength. (We wouldn't expect differently from Schooby!)

I received a text from Jane indicating that she is OK. It included a pic of her IV -- icky.

Sorry, no update yet. I sent an email to Schooby's son and am hopeful that he will reply. I'll update Post #1 in this thread with any news.

Here's the email I sent:

Hi ,

Your Mom mentioned that you might be in contact with an update on her health. I thought I might as well start the ball rolling and contact you. I hope I am not intruding. If you have time, please reply with details of how she did in surgery and how she is feeling today, and if there is anything that she needs that I or her other internet friends can provide.

The people at the website we visit are most anxious to hear any news. So many of the users changed avatars to pink ribbons that someone stepped up to sort of catalog them for Jane. At this point, I think over 60 people have pink ribbons in support of your Mom. It's a virtual candleight vigil at that site now, with people offering prayers and support. I am awed by the outpouring.

Thanks in advance for your rapid reply. Lots of anxious people are waiting on it, not the least of which is me. You are in my thoughts as well for what you must do to help her out until she is on her feet.
