Well it was an estate sale but kind of like a hoarders place. The lady and guy running it said there was about 1/4 of what had originally been in there. I got a big industrial westinghouse fan for $3 and an assortment of telegraph insulators an old glass clorox bottle for $4. My wife got an antique mirror they had priced at $25 for $10. she said she could tell by the glass it was old.

Bought another 18 Blue Mason Jars- 3 were half gallon and the rest were pints and quarts for $40
and some more clear ones with glass lids at a different place
Got a small brown bottle that looked interesting TCW Co stamped on bottom
It was from TC Wheaton Co they made medicine and pharmaceutical bottles between 1900 -1940 dont really know much else about it. It must have had a cork stopper at some point.
This other green bottle is from Western Mineral Water Company stamped on the bottom and he word Camel stamped on the neck.
Also got a neat clear white insulator a Hemmingray 56 that had a funky looking top to it

T.C.W.CO. .............T.C.Wheaton Glass Company, Millville, New Jersey (1888-to date). Seen especially on laboratory, chemical and drug bottles. See "W in a circle".

Take a look at some of the bottles on this website to see if the shape of your bottle matches any of these bottles. I've seen a lot of seltzer bottles over the years that have simply lost the metal bit on top. Some had a metal flip top with a stopper and others had a squeeze trigger metal top so you could squirt a small amount of the seltzer into a drinks glass.

Didnt some also have a ball that rose under pressure so the bottle didnt lose its fizz. Kids would smash the bottles and have marbles out of them.
Updated to more appropriate title.
Amazon seems to have some nice looking books on insulators.
http://www.amazon.com/Definitive-...19&sr=1-1] the cover looks neat might be good just as a coffee table book.

Don't know about the ball. My bottle knowledge is kind of limited. I do have one bottle that might be worth a lot of money but I really like it so never put it up for sale.
It's a very old pepper sauce bottle but in the shape of a cologne bottle. It still has the porcelain stopper with the hole in the middle where the sauce came out. It also has the original paper label around the neck of the bottle. The paper label says White Swan Pepper Sauce packed for Waples Platter Grocer Company and on the bottom of the bottle, imprinted in the glass are the words McIlhenny Co. Avery Island LA and in the middle No 2-10.
So this was a very early Tabasco sauce bottle which they weren't actually selling under the Tabasco brand name. It has to be 1880's or 1890's at the latest as that's the time period when Tabasco sauce was sold in a cologne bottle. I've never run across another one like it.

Maybe it was a European thing to have a little glass ball inside the bottle that rose with pressure.
