"...do the dishes, clean the counter tops, all the floors, make all the beds, do the laundry and the trash." Then her letter says something about all the work she does in his clinic. So it sounds like she's helping out with his business too.

I do agree he went WAY over top, and I think HE would say he went over the top to try and prove his point. I do also see the hypocrisy in "airing dirty laundry" but I do not think that is what upset him. If he over heard her bitching on the phone to a friend I think it would have been completely different...but the FB post for the world to see and then trying to just block him / the wife was what did it.
Kids generally think life is so hard today and are beyond pampered. A little reality never hurts.

So cleaning lady or not, the kid sounds busy. My grandmother used to have a cleaning lady but she only did a half day every week and spent most of that time dusting, moping, vacuuming and cleaning the windows. They have a cleaning lady but she's likely part time, since the kid is doing so much.
It was being part of the family. My parents worked and still had to clean house and whatnot, school was my "job" and I had to help clean house and whatnot. It's part of living together and learning how to be an adult.
I don't think he shoulda shot up the computer. He should have taken it away and made her buy a new one and that one go to someone needy so that she understood that it was a privelege not a right.
However if that was the consequence he told her would happen then I'm proud of him for following through, because that's the most important thing...don't go back on your word when raising your kids. If you say you're gonna punish them a certain way for a certain action then make SURE it happens. Empty threats don't help at all!

I agree, haha. But...it was my 1st thought...Give the laptop to the little brother...that would eat away at her more then shooting it because than she'd have to see it all the time, haha.

I certainly don't think that's too much work for a teenager. Sounds about right, IMO.
Dad does mention she's done something like this before, so what else has the kid done? She's rebellious so maybe there's more than what he lets on in the video (maybe things he's ashamed of admitting she's done). We don't know the whole story of the family so it's not our place to judge. I would say Dad was warranted in his actions. He basically reacted in kind, she made a fool of him and his wife on a social media site he made a fool of her on a social media site, then took it one step further. Fight fire with fire and add some gasoline.
