I think that was filmed at Trygyve's mansion
I wish (though there have been several movies shot here). Those interiors were all done at the Colorado Governor's Mansion. I have a lot of antiques myself, but the Governor (or, rather, the state of Colorado--the house and its furnishings come with the job) definitely has me beat.

You look the part, have the humility of a great actor, but I have NO IDEA who is doing your costumes! I apologize if if it's you or one of your friends, but they are not well researched. Well woven.....but not period. The markings are all correct on the fabric, but the brass work is what is off. Still....I want to see this movie if you're in it.
I am no expert on historical costumes (one of the reasons I like fantasy/SF--if it looks cool, you can use it), but my understanding is that they worked from all the original patterns used for the military uniforms of the time, just sized to fit the actors. The decorations and style was designed based on a whole lot of paintings of different British soldiers from the time period with the idea of coming up with a uniform that combined elements used in various regiments but without being identifiable as any specific regiment. I think it's about 80% shot at this point, so it's probably too late to change anything now. If there are some online references you can suggest, I can pass them on.

The brass buttons and gorget are unique to my character (Lt. Cardwell) the rest of the soldiers (non-officers) have silver-colored buttons. So if you just skip over my scenes, it'll be brass-free. Wink I think the other costumes (peasants and nobility) were based mainly off paintings from the period.

trygve, were you going for the blackadder look?
Weeell, he's supposed to be a lieutenant in the king's guard from approximately 1750. I'm kind of at the mercy of the makeup and wardrobe departments on this one. Cardwell is a military man, so he can't be too much of a fop, but he takes his position as an officer seriously and gets from it what he can. Not a nice guy, but he's competent at what he does.

That's friggin' awesome...and stop sounding so gosh darn sweet!
Grrrrr? Salty, then? (Given the heat lately, that's definitely a possibility.)

DW is the expert. She's the one that pointed them out to me. She and DS1 are US military history buffs. I'm sure she has some books around here somewhere on the garb of the period.

My MIL does a lot of acting. She was in movie that she opened up her house for filming. When she saw the final cut of the movie she was PISSED because she didn't know they would be filming a sex scene in her bedroom. She was out or downstairs or something when they filmed it and didn't know it was happening. Apparently they really were having sex at the time, too. Sick

Until you can twiddle bits and insert XOR and JMP instructions into an executable using a debugger, you ain't really a hacker.
Been a while since I've done that, but there's more than one kind of hacking. Getting past passwords and other barriers doesn't necessarily require any of that. (I've done both, but the latter much more frequently of late.)

What does Mjölnir have to do with Terminex?
Terminex kills bugs. Mjolnir kills really big bugs.

(not Mjolnir, I admit, but I try to work with what I've got)
