i'll pm you Smilie and yeah, i had to bargain a little, but i think the store i went to may be cheaper generally because it has less employees - in fact, they may just be the owners working. considering how fast they let me have what i offered, i guess i could have gone lower - but i was just so happy that i could get it for < 1k considering the retail is around 1350 and it's a brand new fall 2012 style!

i got a new nail polish last night - my friend got me a deborah lippmann np for xmas in a dark grey (stormy weather), but i found it was so close to an essie polish that i have, that i exchanged it yesterday, for this:



i love how it's almost the perfect nude, but there's a slight sheen/shimmer to it! it's called 'satin doll' and was created for mariah carey. laugh out loud i love it! plus, her formulas are sooooo nice - very creamy & super pigmented. i heard it lasts forever too. heart

does anyone know if, after you call in to express cs to change an order, do the changes in your order show up on your online account?

Was it the one I liked best? I didn't know you could negotiate the price on a wedding dress. I've been spending too much money for years. laugh out loud Now, I just need to get up the nerve to try to talk them down. I paid the first asking price in the straw market in the Bahamas once, just so the merchants would leave us alone. Embarrassment

i think it does not. it will be in the invoice. maybe the shipping confirmation too.

many times i ask them a new confirmation email that reflects the change, they say yes, but i don't receive. the ship confirm email will reflect the order update though.

yep! it was the more cost-effective one. Smilie plus i knew i could possibly talk down the price on it, a lot more than at the other store.
it depends on the store. supposedly you can bargain ANYWHERE, but it's definitely easier some places than others. i know that you can usually do so at chinese places and i have experience with bargaining from when i lived in asia. i know it's difficult but it helps a lot! even at the other store i went to (it was an american place, full service, with a lot of attendants) i was wavering over the other dress and she told me she could knock down the price a little if i really wanted it (she offered!). so i asked how much and she took 200 off!

If it is DL, what B&M retailers sell it? I have never heard of the brand.

it's DL. nordstroms has it. they had testers too so i tried a whole bunch of polishes yesterday.

I own one thing from Nordstrom. A cute pair of Steven Madden boots that I bought more than a decade ago. They are still in great shape. I have purchased things from Nordstrom since then; however, I always return them. When I used to wear MAC Lip Glass (for a few months until a boyfriend killed that), I would buy it from Nordstrom. I also bought my niece the cutest ruffle skirt from there. I just do not get Nordstrom. Maybe I will pay attention to Nordstrom deals you all post in the future. We have a really nice one, and it is very close to my home.

i personally love it for the feel of the high end dept store. i love the return policy and they have a lot of high end beauty stuff that sephora doesn't carry. i don't shop there much, but i love it whenever i go! i like the thought of being able to bring in a pair of shoes that i wore but pinched my toes, and returning them.
