RETIRED The Official VS, Beauty & more Thread

Has anyone gotten their dermstore MORE rebate yet? I sent mine in on January 16th, and I still haven't gotten it. I got an issue of the magazine, though. I hope it comes soon.

Sorry to pop in and out girls, been a crazy few weeks here. This question is for the girls that participated in the "VS Returns" club or any others whom may have had this happen to them. Have any of you deposited checks you received from VS generated from this latest batch of returns? As of yesterday,VS has "returned" them. . . as in my bank is charging me $12 for each f***ing check I deposited from VS.


The reason provided by VS to my bank was "Refer to Maker" . I looked to see if I was credited twice (once to my CC and once via check form) and that is not the case. I could go back now and look for a credit to the GC I used...but heck if I know which freaking GC that was. Mistake or not, this VS shenanigan is costing me almost $100 in fees. I will be seeking reimbursement for it and possibly canceling my VS CC.

The plastic surgeon wants me to look at boobs. I'm so sick of looking at them .

is there a catalogue of boobs to choose from?

There is a lot of before and after pics if you google it. The bewbs are making me dizzy. I'm taking a break!

How does coconut water taste? I've never tried it. Is it sweet? If so, that may satisfy my sweet tooth & get me to drink some water. Sometimes, I eat a piece of fruit to satisfy my sweet tooth, w/o adding too many calories. This may work better. At least, I'd be drinking a little water.

Yeah, using base coats I already have would be the smart thing to do. That's not as much fun as shopping though. I wonder if Orly Bonder just doesn't work with Zoya. Speaking of Zoya, I love the colors I got from the last deal. I haven't tried them yet, but they're really pretty in the bottle.

I would have been happy with 4 days. The CND Toughen Up/Julep combo literally started peeling in big pieces the next day. Some of them peeled off in one big piece. The polish separated from the nail & was sticking up around the edges. I didn't have to use polish remover on any of them. They peeled off easily. I think Essie may have lasted a little longer, but not much.



Thanks for the info. I always use 2 coats of polish & top coat. I don't think that should be too much, & cause it to peel. I think the Julep polish may have peeled worse than Essie, but they both peeled really fast. Obviously, CND TU isn't for me. I'd like to find a combo that works great with my nails, & try to stay with those brands. I say try, because I have a hard time passing on a deal for any brand.



I have to wait for them to be offered to the GP. There will need to be a deal to get me to bite though. I need bras, but they never seem to have my size in the bras I like. Swimsuits are one thing I rarely buy online. I'm picky about the way they fit. The only thing I can think of that I really want is some lingerie, but it would have to be a good deal for me to buy it online. I'm getting tired of doing returns, because stuff doesn't fit or look right.

the taste of Coconut water is sweet ideally. It is when the coconut skin is still green. It gets a tid bit sour once coconut starts to mature. So it depends on the coconut from which the water was taken is but either way I like its taste. I grew up drinking fresh coconut water by straw from coconut directly
The brand I get here is Vita coco [amazon.com]. Goya sells it too but it does not taste good IMO.
It comes flavored with other fruit juices too [amazon.com], if that is how you might like it more

crap, spent the past 4 days off & now my whole damn afternoon is shot

The same happened to me too and was charged $12 ! I was gonna call my bank and see what happened. Maybe VS messed up!

I want to try some! I don't think I've had any.
