I need suggestions.... By now, you all know my nephew is getting married next Friday. Embarrassment My sister called me Wednesday & told me the bride's aunt decided she wasn't going to make the bows she had promised, so I have to make bows for the wedding & reception. I'm trying to come up with some kind of Carolina logo to put in them. Obviously, it's too late to order charms. I tried making an N & C with floral wire & beads. The beads I could find are really too big for a small logo making the C cover too much of the N. I'm trying for this http://www.sportslogos.net/logo.php?id=2873 logo. I'm going to keep trying to get it the way I want in. I could really use an alternative suggestion though. The bows have to be completed by Thursday, so I'm limited with time to shop for supplies & make the bows.

That's interesting. Thanks for the link. I kind of like the bun look the sock creates too. Coverlaugh For some reason, I've never been able to master the messy bun look with my hair. Confused My DH would like for me to wear my hair wavy on occasion. I'll give that a try. My deceased sister used to roll my nieces hair in socks, but she used a lot of them. The method was similar to using rollers.

has anyone seen this [qvc.com]? drool it's far too expensive for me to even want it, but wow! there's so much in there!
You can get it for 4 easy installments of $23.37, plus Tax. laugh out loud That payment offer always amuses me. It's like it's not as much money, if you aren't paying it all at once. Who wouldn't want to buy makeup on an installment plan? What a deal! Stick Out Tongue

I saw it in one of emilynoel83's videos [youtube.com] and it's been on my wishlist ever since. She starts talking about it around 8:27.

do any of you do yoga? i'm in the market for a mat - my friend gave me a cert for 5 sessions at a local yoga studio, and i've decided i need to hurry up and go cash that in! i'm in dire need of some tone and i figure yoga was a great way to start.

anyway, is a 3mm mat too thin? i'm looking at some of the gaiam ones on amazon... is there a specific mat that you would recommend? i also saw a nike one at nordstrom rack that was $20. i saw some at ross during the holidays but i didn't see any there today. anywhere else i should look?

TIA!

My tops are separated by summer and winter and organized by color. The jeans are together, the dress pants are together organized by color, and the dresses are together. I have the jackets and coats separated by if they are long or short. My closet needs some work. It gets messy so I have to pick the stuff up out of the floor so I can get to it.

I'm not sure if it is new. I just got it, but it's the same tote that's been on the site for a week or two.

If you think you might at all end up enjoying yoga, definitely get a quality mat. The ones at Kohls/Ross/etc can be hit or miss. You'll pay around $40 for a nice mat. And go ahead and get a "thick" mat (many manufactures actually label them as THICK vs. normal). The cheaper ones are generally super thin and you'll never regret the extra cushioning. Giam is a good brand to start with Smilie Target also sells Giam, I believe, if you want to kind of look in person before you buy online.

Cute idea! I usually just twist my hair after separating in two sections and clip it and let it loose about 45min - 1 hour later. Because my hair is so heavy and straight, the wavy curls don't stay too long, but it's a nice easy look

I am a once in a blue moon yoga person. I have 3 Gaiam mats. I have the tree of life one, a pink one and another green one. I'm not sure how thick they are. I also have a Pink mat from VS and they're about the same in thickness.

I really don't know if I'm doing something wrong because I'm just doing it on my own, but I find that my feet kind of get slippery, but then again, it's probably because it's sweaty and trying to hang on/figure out poses.

I did find that I needed to kind of air them out a little. Some sort of plastic/rubber-like smell.

Hope you find a good mat you like!

how do ya gals avoid shoulder bumps in sweaters, aside from storing them folded? i want them hung because i can see them better that way. see = use laugh out loud at first i thought the huggable hangers don't do it, but i see now my sweaters have bumps. i think they do work to some extent, but it's just that they have been up there too long. i have all my clothes (that fit) in closets, none in storage, as i have gotten tired of having to pack and unpack the stuff.

if there's no solution, i guess i'll be folding. i probably should give away my boucle and ribbed sweaters. my boucle are definitely too warm for here. the ribbed sweaters can be used only a few times a year.
Because I am running room out of my closet to hang stuff, I'd often times put 5-6 cardigans to a hanger. I find that the sweater cardigans on the outer layer don't have shoulder bumps. I guess my suggestion would be doubling up with other shirt you don't need to see so often.

That has been frustrating so now, I just put them in a drawer, folded so I can actually see what I have!

thank you!! i will stay away from the cheap ones from ross/etc then. i tried my friend's that she lent me today, and it's a gaiam 4mm one. all i did were some wii fit yoga stuff, so nothing difficult or anything. i think i'd like at least 4mm.
