It looks really cute!
i've been sitting on one of those bouncy exercise/yoga balls at work the past week. i think it's been better for everything - no more sitting with my legs tucked under me, and no more slouching (or, less slouching). i think i am going to get one of those ball chairs, and get reimbursed for it.
About the makeup artists, I hope you find something or someone that works with your schedule. It sucks having to make it come down to short on time/schedule. About the pricing, that's one of the things I think sucks about people doing wedding services, they don't respond! I'm far from getting any quotes, but when I was doing research to put down some basic costs, I've seen that again and again and how photographers and others are picky about their clients. I hope all goes smoothly!!

i can PM you a breakdown of how much i think things will cost if you like. things are soooo expensive in our area - it's ridiculous! like, i can't believe hair/makeup costs 1-200 for the rest of america - it's 4-500 here!
i'm lucky in that dbf is actually helping me.
best deal in the past month i followed this. it had been $20 without fs or in store, and $25 with fs. $30 at drugstore.com and oos.

Anyway, I think it's a combination of a lack of money & being clueless. When my sister planned my nephew's shower, she asked the bride if her family wanted to join them & have one big shower instead of two. The bride's family declined. That was great, because my sis was just trying to extend an olive branch in the first place. Two days before the shower the bride's mom called & said they had decided to join her shower & would bring their food there. All their family & friends show up at the shower my sister hosted & brought a bag of fruits from the grocery store. That's was the only thing they brought & it wasn't even prepared to serve.
The roses they ordered are from the local grocery store. They're definitely not expensive flowers. To make matter worse the lady in the floral dept. said she would get the roses in at 2pm on the day of the wedding at the earliest. It's possible she won't get them. She told them she needed two weeks to get them in. They ordered them last Friday for a wedding this Friday. It really sounds like they don't think things through. Plus, they don't seem to be aware of proper protocol for weddings. It's possible that they've never had a nice wedding, & just don't know what they're doing.
Sorry to hear about your knees, I know you had mentioned some various issues, but didn't realize your knees were affecting you so much. I'm going to definitely take care of my knees and will get them checked out if it gets worse. I can't imagine swollen knees! :hug :

There's also another bag coming up starting on the 6th, I think. It is free with purchase of an EDP of 1 oz or larger. It's a smaller tote, could even be used as a purse. It's sort of a magenta with tan leather looking handles and a gold VS keychain. I may get that one too ; ) #addict haha
EDIT: And I already scoped out the EDP prices, of course. Cheapest is BBV or VSforHim at $29. Looks like DH is getting a back up bottle of VSforHim since I don't like BBV. :teehee :

Thanks- I'm the same with the spending. Stepped it up on the makeup...but everything else was still just what was cheap. You're right, we do feel better when everything is just right (fit/color/style) and we know it. :hug :
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Heck- Trader Joes sells flowers really cheap, $4 buys you a bunch of mini daffodils fit for a Bridesmaid's bunch or pew flowers... Costco sells wedding flowers online too- I don't think the lead time is that long, but haven't checked lately.
We're all thinking the same thing about the cones. This is one time that we're hoping they won't follow through.

Of course, now they want me to stay with the bridesmaids (5 girls, 2 beds.... nope, not doing that either).

And that's nice of your DBF! I'm sure mine would too, but I think he's more like OMG!! CUT COSTS!!!
Edit: About my friend that used Kelly Zhang, omg, how is it possible that she's had immediate bookings, or I think a month, is immediate, after her wedding?! ! (Friend still posting pictures after her wedding in August). It drives me nuts to know that people like you probably can't get her because people like my friend is the way she is.
