azn, I finally used my BaByliss hot rollers http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/...00_details over the weekend. I really like them. My hair curled well & stayed that way all day. It still had some body to it the next day. This set doesn't get great reviews on Amazon, but I really don't understand why. As I've said, my hair is long & straight, but not fine or super thick. Maybe, the bad reviews were from people with really fine or super thick, unruly hair.

Also, they don't feel hot to the touch, which some people didn't like. That didn't affect the result I received. I like that they didn't burn my hands as most hot rollers do. I heated them approx. 20 to 30 minutes, before trying to use them. (I didn't time it, & didn't check to see if they were hot sooner than that.) The clips are the only thing I would consider a negative. There's 30 rollers in the set, & it only includes 15 clips.

I ordered more, so it wasn't a big deal. The extra clips didn't work as well as the included clips though. I'm going to order more like the included clips.

I would prefer to be in Old Town (from the way it sounds). We like being able to walk to as much as possible. We don't like depending on scheduled transportation, because I never know when I will have had enough & need to rest a while. That said, it would depend on how run down the rooms actually are & how nice the hotel is? If it's a minimum 4 star hotel that's just a little older, I'd choose that. If not, my DH & I would rather stay a little further away to have a nicer hotel. The hotel that's not in the touristy area & not much nicer than the one in OT probably would be the first we eliminated. My sister's families, OTOH, would choose one of the cheaper options. It really depends on the guest. We prefer to spend a large majority of our vacation budget on accommodations & food. They prefer to spend theirs on tours & shopping. Do you know your guests well enough to know their vacation style?

Would someone be willing to show me some mercy & help me out?

I came back from my trip sick, so my head is foggy. I'm totally confused about the different VS codes active now. Would someone be kind enough to tell me which codes are combining (bras, panties, GWPs, etc.)? I would be very grateful. Also, are SRCs only available to VS card holders still? It doesn't appear that they're being offered to those of us w/o the CC. I may not order, if the general public isn't getting SRCs. I could really use some bras though.

Thanks for the thorough review. They're a lot more expensive than I imagined! $60!! It's a price of a video game!

Any idea if it ever goes on sale? Or go cheaper? It sounds like we have similar hair textures. Do you think all 30 needs to be used at once?

Also, do the clips leave dents in your hair? Do you by chance have a link to the new clips that you're gonna get that matches the set? This is all very new to me. I really want to get a set and I think I might try this one.

Is the hotel in Old Town going to be noisy? That's my only concern if it's in Old Town, but the nicer one doesn't seem bad. The walk seems manageable

thanks. that is what i'm thinking too - besides, out of towners will be from big cities where they're used to doing a lot of walking, so i think it'll be ok.

hmmm maybe i didn't explain it right. none of them are sketchy by any means. they are all "nice", just some i think are nicer than others. all big name hotels, none of those days inn or anything.

thanks for the help guys! i think i've settled on: wedding party stays at cheaper hotel that is farther away with shuttle (mainly bc i'll be able to get a discounted rate on a suite). guests will have the option of that one, or the fancier one that costs more (i can block 10 rooms at a discounted rate with no charge). i'll let them know where we'll be staying.
