It all depends in the person. I'm pretty tough. I don't like pain pills. I remember after my csection I took one does of the strong kind and then refused them. They made me feel funny. It's an outpatient procedure. After I go home they want me up walking around every hour. It could take awhile for the swelling to go down. I'll be in a sports bra for at least a month so no cute tops.

About the # of swimsuits while on vaca... I totally agree with you guys about having lots of options, but in my case, I've always been totally insecure about my body in a swimsuit, so I never actually got around to buying many. I did want to enjoy the beach/pool while on vacation but didn't end up bringing many swimsuits just cause I didn't have many. I am working on it though! Big Grin

ETA: hope your recovery time is low, ALVSY. You'll be looking fabulous!

Haha!! I love this post, Icey. You made me laugh....but I agree on all accounts. I usually bring a bathing suit (with matching coverup) for each day that I will be on vaycay. (Yes, I am a psycho over-packer).

Speaking of.....I am taking a 5 day cruise in May and I already have 1 dress per day (for dinners). But my friend who is a assistant manager at Express yelled across the hall to me today (VS & Express are right across...and yes, we yell to each other. haha) Saying that she got in 2 new maxi dresses that had my name written ALL over them!! So of course I went over there and fell in love with them both. I should really only buy 1 but I cannot decide which I like best!!! They're so beautiful and 30% off right now. Thinking I may take the more casual cottony one (This one: http://www.express.com/strapless-.../index.pro) I bought the other day back and exchange for the 2 dressier ones. woot

yes, all we need is 1... if that 1 is a Z-palette that contains all your e/s colors in it!!! :lol : i have the hardest time picking what to bring with me on trips. it's so difficult to find a happy medium between being super prepared and packing light.

thanks for the rec k!

the rollers seemed hot, but i think i only left them in for like 5 min. plus, my hair is stick straight right now due to a perm, so i think that's another reason. it probably won't hold a curl well for another 6 months or so. but i'll try it again and leave on for longer next time! (i almost killed the set bc i took it out of the box and plugged it in, not realizing that there was no on/off button so plugging it in meant heating it up right away. there was still cardboard in between the rollers separating them. lucky for me they didn't start to burn! :lol Smilie

how long is the recovery time? good luck...!! i hope you have an easy recovery.

:iagree : about girls who only bring 1 bathing suit. what is wrong with them? even when i go to vegas (and i generally will only sunbathe one day over the weekend since sunday is recovery time) i'll bring a few just to have a choice. i don't wear my bathing suits much so i love any opportunity to wear as many as possible! oh and i LOVED the pin dot balconet - i reeeeally wanted it in green! but never ordered when they had it in my size. :sadwalk :

i try to avoid this by choosing wisely (multi-use pieces, etc) but this is why it generally takes me about a week to pack for anything.

:lmao : at the cat!

do you have a luggage weigher? i have this one [amazon.com] from amazon and it has changed my life - no more awkwardly positioning the luggage while i step on a scale, only to find that it was wildly inaccurate! i highly recommend it - i will usually give a pound or 2 in case the weigher thing is wrong, but it's decently accurate!

i've never seen this but i can imagine how horrible it is.
That sounds like something I would do. laugh out loud 5 minutes isn't long enough. I usually leave mine in for around 15 to 20 minutes. You need to leave them in, until they are completely cool. Spraying your hair before you roll it, & while the rollers are in, helps the curl to stay. Let the spray dry, before rolling & removing the rollers. I didn't realize there was a perm to straighten hair, so I don't know how that affects it's curling ability. My hair couldn't be straighter though, & it curls well with my hot rollers. It does have natural body, which may help. Dontknow

Speaking of Vegas pools, have you ever stayed at Caesar's Palace? My DH & I stayed there once & the pool was ice cold. We couldn't stand to submerge our entire body. It actually hurt. After trying it on our arrival day, we decided to pass on the pool for the rest of our stay. This was in July. They obviously chill the water. This was crazy cold though. EEK!

Thanks for the link to the luggage scale. I need to order us one.

Where do you buy your bathing suits? I only wear tankinis with high rise bottoms. I'm afraid to order from VS, because their suits seem to be made for the tummy-less. Stick Out Tongue Do they have any you would recommend? They need to cover my stomach for me to be comfortable.

i guess you and i aren't so different! laugh out loud yeah i freaked when i saw those cardboard pieces still in there. and my rollers were still hot when i took them out so i guess it was def not enough time! will try again tonight or tomorrow. Smilie

i've stayed at caesar's, but i don't remember ever going to the pool there. i think the 1 time i stayed there, it was in january, and it snowed. EEK! interesting that the pool was cold tho! i've been in pools at the venetian and palazzo and various others that i don't remember, and it never seemed that cold to me.

I understand. It is less noticeable when women wear solid, plain swimwear multiple times. It is when women wear prints and unique swimwear that it stands out. I always suggest for my friends on a budget to buy simple clothing.

I have never experienced women being chastised or ridiculed in swimwear for not having a tight body. I do not have abs of steel or look like a model, but I still wear bikinis. The coverup comes off. Now I would not try this in Miami...I hear they are not forgiving there.

Great thing about some of vs's line is one you find a style you like, it comes in other colors. Last year I liked the very sexy line (I think). I also love becca swimwear! It's darling!

If I wore a bikini, people would probably be asking me when I was due. Embarrassment

It's been a while since I've bought a suit, but the last one I bought is from PINK and it was white background with colorful leopard print and I paired it with some solid colored bikini bottom. It is really cute Smilie But I always wore it with some PINK coverup shorts that are this waterproof material. I don't have a huge tummy, but I'm so self-conscious Embarrassment

I always order 00 or xxs from whbm. At express I buy the smallest size and it sometimes is too big so it just depends. At at I wear 0 or 00 or xxs or xs. The limited smallest size is sometimes too big for me. I'd say with whbm if you're considering 2 sizes go with the smaller one. I hope that helps. I know its confusing. I just have a hard to fit body.
