The wedding went well. The bride allowed us to "add color" to the cones. We covered them in tulle & added beads. Yeah... it's not going to work out well if they don't relax on this stuff... IMO, if they wanted them to all be the same length, then only let us choose from dresses that hit at the same spot (above/below/at the knee). They will never all match up anyways... 1 girl is 5'2", another is 5'8" and then who knows what heels they'll all show up with. Short dresses- you just accept what you get. The dress I ended up with isthis one. [belfiorebridal.com] The more versatile one [162.155]was picked up by someone else Frown . I can see myself wearing it again for another wedding, but I kind of wanted one I could wear a little more casually- cute heels, long costume jewelry necklace for pops of color... I can't really see that happening with the one I'm getting.

Glad the wedding turned out. Hahah, you bead-demon you! Did you end up trying that powder embossing technique? It's a pretty neat trick to have up your craft sleeve Wink

My DH does the same thing- when asked, they are afraid of anything that makes a statement. In my way of thinking- if it caught your eye, it did so for a reason- go with it. Don't 2nd guess that kind of thing with DH. I've kicked myself so many times for listening to his fashion advice. Now on the other hand, if it's iffy to begin with, then I'll ask DH to reaffirm it's off or doesn't fit, etc. Comfort

I agree with what alvs said. Pick some complimentary color of tank with thick straps, make it look like you did it on purpose to draw attention to the lace. Oh and kurpee... NOW I see a big returns box in my future Evillaugh

dh knows i'm not satisfied with the dress. he still stands by his pick laugh out loud i'm silly i asked him, what does he know.

Yay the wedding I was maid of honor for went well! The bride was so pretty and only little stressed. The other bridesmaids, even the difficult ones really pulled it together and did a lot to help me make the wedding go smoothly so that was pretty awesome.

Although a baby almost died right as we were all walking down the aisle! OMG She was playing with some roses and bit off a petal. We were all like, oh no and her mom tried to fish it out of her mouth but it was gone. We weren't worrying about it because, hey its just a rose petal, people eat those in desserts and things. But it must have still been somewhere in her mouth because 10 minutes later she was choking on it. Her grandmother got it out pretty quickly and we didn't even know until the reception but it is scary to think of what might have happened.

Are swim bottoms the cheapest Beach Sexy item to get the tote? It code didn't work on the Beach Sexy beauty item I tried.

It's backordered until 4/18, but I would like to try it. I may order it anyway, & put something else in the order to get an SRC now. I was thinking of adding a Beach Sexy item to use all 3 code slots & get the tote.

Is the bride expecting you to shorten your dress to the same length as the other one? If so, that will probably be an expensive alteration. If she wanted the dresses a certain length, she shouldn't have chosen such a wide varieties of lengths for you all to choose from. The added expensive of hemming could have been prevented easily. I do like the dress you got. I think it would look really cute with heels & costume jewelry, especially if you shorten it a bit.

I had some extra pearl like beads on stems that went perfectly with the roses. Wink I didn't try the embossing technique. My DH's heat gun kind of scared me. I'm going to get a weaker heat gun & give it a try soon. Knowing that little trick could end up saving a lot of money. Thumbsup

I think so gh. The black bottoms are a good thing to buy. I can never find them on clearance.

I guess that is the best deal on bras. $10 off and free undie plus the free ship/return code.

Thanks. I'm going to order bottoms to go with the tankini I want. I prefer solid bottoms with print tops. Hopefully, there will be another swim code for the tankini soon.

Should I go ahead & order the backordered bra? If it comes with a free return label, I would get free returns this month & next. (I'm placing 2 bra orders.) Would the swim bottoms & tote I'm ordering with it have the free return label, or would they wait to send it with the bra?

I think both invoices will have them, but its been awhile since they've done free returns so I'm not sure. I'm ordering bottoms. They never have the ones I like once they hit clearance. I always find plenty of tops with no bottoms. Don't work that well LMAO!

I went to the mall today. I bought 2 belts from Arden B for $5 each. Both are super cute. I got a pink one and a white one. They are the same style though. I wanted a white belt to wear with some of my summer dresses. Finding the pink one was an added bonus Whee! Plus I'll get $20 from rewarded because I went over $200 points with that transaction!
