We don't do a lot in Tampa either. It's rare for us to go out, unless it's for a weekend getaway. Most of those are in North Miami or Orlando. We need to get out around here more often. I'm going to look into Liang's Bistro. We've been to most of those chains on getaways. Shulas would be the exception. We haven't tried it in Orlando thinking we would go to the one here. Obviously, we still haven't done that. Hopefully, we will soon.
I don't see Bonefish Grill on your list. You should give it a try. Also, have you been to Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City? If not, I recommend you add it to your list of possibilities too. Some day we'll try Bern's Steakhouse. It's been on our list forever, but we've never made it there. I'm thinking we need to book a hotel in the city for one of our weekend getaways to experience more of what Tampa has to offer. We're always too cheap to eat at the most expensive places, like Bern's, in our daily life.
I have heard of Columbia but we haven't ventured into Ybor City because when we moved here someone told DH be careful there, it's not a nice area. Once he heard that it was off his list.
It's so funny you mention Orlando, we do the same! I'm a platinum member of Loews hotels so we like to do Universal area a lot. We get a $100 food credit when we stay. We always getaway for a weekend there. I love doing Citywalk, especially the Rising Star bar so much fun to watch! And I used to live in North Miami!! I lived on Biscayne Bay in the tall green building! Such a small world!
Shulas we tried when we flew down here for DH's interview when we still lived in PA. It's good food, not spectacular. I don't really like upscale fussy places. I like to relax when I go out to eat and who can relax when you have so many people fussing over you. It's one of the reasons we haven't done Bern's. That and I'm cheap too.
Never tried coconut water, but I bet it tastes yummy!

Is it wrong that I preferred Outback?

Dh thinks flemmings is the best chain steakhouse, and I think ruth's chris is. IMO you get your best food and the non-chain places.

I've been to Ybor City numerous times & never felt the least bit unsafe. I wonder where he got that at. Some buildings are a bit rundown looking when you drive into it from I-275. Ybor City itself is very nice. Unfortunately, some stores have closed, due to the slow economy. That's always sad to see. You should visit, if you can talk your DH into it. We always take our guests there & everyone enjoys it. They like riding the trolley route & jumping on & off in Channelside & Downtown too.
We love UO too. This year we're doing WDW. We alternate buying APs for them. UO is probably our favorite, because the FOTL privilege & hotels. We like being able to walk almost everywhere. Because of that, we usually stay at HRH. We really like PBH too, & stay there occasionally. It's so nice to not have to ride buses there. Epcot is the main reason we alternate WDW/UO APs. We love Epcot. I really like MK, but my DH isn't a big fan. If it were up to him, we would always go to UO. WDW does have some great restaurants, which help me convince him to visit there.
I've heard Bern's is better than Shula's. It would be a great place to celebrate your 10th anniversary. Our 20th is in October too. It's kind of strange how much we have in common for people who have never met.

What Outback do you go to? We think the Outback in Wesley Chapel is horrible. We prefer Remington's, if we have guests that really want a mid-priced steak. TBH, we rarely eat at any chain restaurants, except Bonefish Grill. It's one of the very few we'll eat at anymore. We do like P.F. Changs too. That's the major reason we only eat out on vacation. We're kind of food snobs.

you know, i think it might irritate my eyes too, when i use it on my waterline. that may be why my eyes tear up and then it disappears. but i've read that they used to make it with something that irritates eyes but they changed it or something. i need to go back and read more about them but they def did change the formula at some point.
thanks for the dry shampoo rec!
And that's good to know about the smudgesticks. It was worst when I put it on my waterline, but still gets gunk on my contacts. I've had a really tough time, I don't know if it's the dry weather or what, but my contacts have been really susceptible to getting totally wrecked by makeup. It's expensive because I'll wind up having to throw them out, it doesn't matter how hard I "scrub" the lens with my fingers, it won't come off. arg!!
