You would think they would use their cameras to make sure their staff is not stealing. So nice they can paw in our belongings and not be responsible at all for theft.

Was there no room in the overhead compartment?

How can you resist? Teehee The umbrellas are always so cute. I don't use them either. I have an umbrella holder at the front door that I fill with them. VS umbrellas just happen to match the colors in my dining room & library. I like having them for looks & for guests to grab on their way out the door. When I use an umbrella, I use a compact.

I do want more at VS now than usual. Since I've lost weight, I need new lingerie, bras, panties, etc. I don't wear lingerie often enough to buy a lot of it though. That helps me not spend so much. There's also a few clothing pieces I want now, but not a lot.
I cannot resist much at VS, but I will try. I usually resist the beach totes, but this year's is on the way. I usually do not find the beach totes cute. I saw one girl with this year's in Nassau. Other than it being orange (I thought it was pink), it was not bad looking. The Black one with "VS" large in Gold from last year is not cute. (I have it.) The black mesh with gold piping was an odd shape. (I have that one too.) I have a gold metallic tote with orange inside lining that I believe is a beach tote. That one is really cute. I have no idea when I ordered it though.

I did pretty well during the SAS stocking up on bras in my nuSize. I am the Queen of purchasing lingerie that I do not wear. I have been doing it for years. #addicted

I wanted to keep it with me. It was more a purse than a carry on.

Isn't there a saying about putting your bag on the floor and going broke?

I was thinking the other day that rather keeping those totes to use my 2 valuable drawers on chest I should at least use them to organize my stuffs better but I am sure knowing me it will take a while before i apply that rule laugh out loud
But I took out the secret moment tote - which IMO is the cutest one among all - and started using it. No I used it when I go to mall or other similar places. The big plus of tote is if I buy some small stuffs I can put it in my tote and my hands still stays free. I usually ask the cashier to not give me bag and I feel better by thinking that I am contributing to environment in some ways Smilie
Last time I returned (many many) SAS items, I used one of those long VS Totes.

My Samsonite Spinner bag (which is small enough to be a carry-on) came with a lock that TSA can open (I am guessing there is some universal key). That was a nice surprise. The last time I traveled domestically I made a pit stop at the mall because I did not want to carry my carry-on bag on my shoulder. Best investment ever! I almost purchased a LV Keepall, but I do not like carrying heavy bags on my shoulder when traveling. (I pack my carry-ons heavy.) I definitely would not check a LV bag, especially if you are going through Customs. Sometimes the lines are so long, the bags are thrown everywhere by the time you clear. A lot of opportunity/time for theft.

Don't put your purse on the floor or you'll stay broke.

Don't place your bag on the floor - you'll lose money!

first time I have ever heard this, but you know think about it, it might refer to those that grab stuff out of your purse when it is on the floor at your feet.

I googled it. It's "a purse on the floor is money out the door."

not to say that it will happen, but just because you have a TSA lock does not mean things won't get stolen. i have heard of things going missing even with that TSA lock, bc it's usually the TSA people that steal your stuff. so wrong, but unfortunately it's something that def could happen.

i wouldn't put anything super valuable (or really, anything you would miss) in any luggage you are checking in.

Oh! Only two options...overhead or under the seat. They do not want your stuff flying around if there is turbulence, I guess. The only way around this is if your bag is not too big and you have a blanket over you, they will not know. I always have my beloved VS Cozy Little Things Travel Kit, which includes a pillow, blanket & eyemask.

I do not check bags. My Spinner is my Carry-on, and a large tote is my personal item. All my valuables are in my large tote. However, when you check your bags, TSA really should not have any contact with your bags because you are by-passing them. It definitely is not a master lock of any sort. Someone could just take a knife to locked bags. Easier than messing with the lock. Premium bags are definitely a big target. Even if you have nothing of value inside, the bag itself is valuable.

Thanks for the heads up about the John Frieda deal at Ulta, Kurips! Both of my shampoo and conditioner had stickers. I grabbed two "stylers" since they'd also ring BOGO 50% and one had a $1 off coupon on it. My cashier used all three coupons plus the $3.50 off $10 so I ended up with a shampoo, conditioner, lightening spray and heat protector for under $8 including tax. Anyone else see Candice is modeling for John Frieda?
yay! i'm glad you were able to do the deal because i didn't! i now have a collection of jf between drugstore.com and ulta. and i like them so far. the 2 conditioners i have tried makes my hair very soft.

i passed by the jf section at wal-mart and found out many of drugstore.com's retail prices are really higher than msrp, so my drugstore.com deals are not as good as i thought.

And they use their dirty gloved hands to search bags! I almost always get my carryon searched at the Seattle airport. I hate them so much! This one time TSA asked if I had smoked salmon and I agreed and they had to rifle through my bag anyway eve though they knew what it was. I fly in and out of bigger airports than Seattle and never have a single problem with the same stuff in my bag!

One flight attendant said that some TSA have a power trip and go over board. This, from the same flight from Seattle. GRR!

I've always heard never to take your best jewelry or expensive accessories on vacation. It makes you a target for pickpockets. Other than my wedding rings, I stick to that rule. It's better to be safe than sorry, IMO.

Again me too ! I have just a few of it and I am tempted to buy more cute stuffs every now and then :lol : the collection slowly built up but I might have less than 10 still ( I am not counting matching bra-panties set in this- that I own a lot more than 10 :teehe e:
High Five I only have a couple pieces of lingerie that fit. I definitely need a few more, but not a lot. I want more bras with matching panties too. My panties are mostly cotton, so I have very few matching sets. I always go for comfort over fashion, but I need a few sets for DH's eyes only. Turtle

Exactly!
The beach totes are good for me, because we go to the beach often. I keep the totes stocked, but take everything out to carry it on the beach. The bag is left in the car. We had a beach bag stolen once. We won't make that mistake again. shake head I wish the new tote wasn't orange, but it will serve the purchase I suppose.

Now, I can tell DH my slick deals aren't the reason we don't have more money. It's the airline's fault. They always make you put your purse on the floor. We should sue. If they didn't enforce that rule, we'd have millions saved. Stick Out Tongue

I travel with a small purse & rolling bags too. My purse hangs on the rolling bag, so I don't actually carry anything. There's no way I'm carrying a heavy bag through the airport. We switched to all rolling luggage many years ago.

Samsonite Spinners are nice. I'd like to have one of those myself.

I agree. My carry-on liquid allotment is pretty much maxed out with my perfume. I would never check it though. It's too expensive. I'll take a chance on having toiletries stolen, so I put those in my checked bag.

More than me its my DH who goes - is it comfortable? I am like oh come on forget that and enjoy your eye candy hehe... but he never gets past that. So I be careful and buy my lingerie in comfy fabric -mostly silk ones or lacie Stick Out Tongue but he admits he is not into lengeries -sometime he even goes EEK! thinking i might have paid a lot more on it. It seems like he does not have trust on his wife's super slick-dealing abilities yet Coverlaugh
